My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 486: Unknown Nightmare

Chapter 486: Unknown Nightmare

Elysia and everyone left the Tempest Grand Palace. Their goals had already been achieved. Therefore, it was time for them to leave.

Sorush looked back and raised his hand to the fat seal on the balcony. He then looked aside. "I’ve left a communication device with him. But, hum... can you please take us back to the Sky Library? Tomorrow is the world boss raid, and we also need to prepare."

"You just need to leave this private world and use this teleportation talisman. You will return to the Sky Library instantly." Lifa handed over a talisman to Aether and Sorush.

"Alright. See you tomorrow in the eastern ocean." Aether bid his farewell and flew up to Timus on the balcony. Sorush soon followed suit.

They didn’t need to go to the magic academy’s vicinity for the realm portal because the realm master was right there.

*Poof*

Timus sent his old friends out of his private world. He then waved his flipper to the Goddesses.

Lifa said nothing more and brought everyone flying away from the floating island, penetrating the protective wind barrier without damaging it.

Timus heaved a relieved sigh and lay down on the trolley, waving his flippers at his puppet. "They want to slay the Polluted Sea God tomorrow. I need to prepare a lot of things to participate in tomorrow’s war. Take me back to my cultivation spot."

"Yes, my lord." Ariya, the human puppet, bowed in respect before pushing the trolley to the cultivation pool room.

---

"Uh-huh?" Elysia held her head as dizziness suddenly assaulted her mind.

"What’s going on?" Elena supported Elysia right away.

"..." Rhea was also present beside her master, but she was a bit surprised because Elysia’s four-pointed star twin kaleidoscopic halo materialized out of the blue.

This mysterious divine artifact was one that her master still couldn’t control. Its divine spirit usually stayed in its slumber almost all the time, and her master put it in an invisible state. Its sudden emergence might lead to something unexpected.

"Uhh... is this your doing, Primogem?" Elysia looked up, questioning what the Primordial Gem was trying to do.

’A fragment, tracking...’ Primogem replied, but only Elysia could hear it. The four-pointed star kaleidoscopic twin halo spun once, and the bigger circle one rose several centimeters upwards.

The gem in the center deformed, forming a flat, complex horizontal four-pointed star shape between the kaleidoscopic halos.

"!!!" Elena had no idea what was happening. That gem and halos might try to do something to Elysia, and she didn’t want anything bad to happen.

She tried to remove the Primordial Gem and the four-pointed kaleidoscopic twin halo from Elysia’s head. Unfortunately, her hand bypassed them. She couldn’t even touch the flattened gem since it was neither a physical nor a spiritual object, but the mysterious transcendent item only Elysia could hold.

"..." Elysia closed her eyes as the urge to sleep became unbearable.

"..." Elena hugged Elysia tightly in her embrace. Something unexpected happened suddenly. It was beyond anyone’s control and she hated it.

"What’s going on?" Lifa tried to help, but she didn’t know what she should do.

"What are you trying to do? You saved us once, so don’t betray our trust by doing something funny." Elena tapped the flattened gem with an annoyed expression. She then reminded everyone. "We have to wait for Ely to wake up in a safe place."

"That divine halos is blocking a certain signal. It forced Ely to sleep. I reckon, there is a very dangerous cosmic creature, trying to find her." He-Dao cast a layered potent divine barrier to ensure everyone’s safety.

He tried to ensure the mysterious signal couldn’t reach Elysia. His move cut off Elysia’s connection with Elysium members for a while.

---

Elysia found herself floating in a vast expanse surrounded by swirling nebulae, glittering star clusters, and the gentle hum of the cosmos. The beauty and serenity of the universe unfolded before her, a tapestry of light and energy.

She looked up, and the Primordial Gem already transformed into a flat star, resembling a mini satellite floating between her kaleidoscopic twin halo.

"..." Elysia had no idea about this occurrence, but she had to find the truth. She navigated through the celestial sea with a profound sense of confusion.

She had no idea why she received this kind of revelation dream. This kind of spiritual journey could also reveal the darker, more terrifying aspects beyond her imagination and comprehension.

The last time she experienced this kind of dream in her usual dreamless sleep was about Ai, asking for her compensation and help. But the situation this time was forced.

The Primordial Gem wished to reveal the vision, and she had no other option but to go through it.

As she ventured deeper into the cosmos, she sensed a shift in the energy around her. The stars began to dim, and a heavy yet oppressive presence loomed on the distant horizon.

She approached a region of space where the light itself seemed to falter, creating a void that absorbed all surrounding illumination. The peaceful hum of the universe turned into a dissonant vibration.

Something emerged from the void... the silhouette of a massive, ancient creature. Its form was shrouded in darkness, but its sheer size and presence were both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Run! That was the emergency command that rose from Elysia’s deepest mind. Unfortunately, she lost control over her body and was drawn closer to the cosmic darkness.

As she drew closer, the creature became clearer. It had a multitude of eyes scattered across its body, each one glowing with a malevolent purplish-blue light. Tentacles that seemed to stretch for miles rippled through the void, pulsating with dark energy.

The creature acknowledged Elysia’s presence with a low, resonant voice that reverberated through the fabric of space. "Found you~"

Elysia trembled, shaken to her core. That cosmic creature summoned her here.

Despite her training and experience, she felt an intense fear gripping her. The creature’s presence was overwhelming, a stark contrast to the harmony she had felt earlier.

For some reason, Sera came to her mind, but this cosmic creature was something scarier than the Seraph of the End’s presence. She could still hold her ground in Sera’s true presence, but not this one. She was so terrified by the colossal cosmic monster before her eyes!

The cosmic creature’s intentions were clear. It sensed Elysia’s fear and began to manifest a humanoid form. Its smaller cosmic humanoid body emerged out of the chaotic darkness and spoke something.

"We’re ****. As you ****, we **** unite. Sooner ****, the **** shall arrive. Defeat ****, E-"

Unfortunately, Elysia couldn’t understand anything. The space seemed to be bent and the voice sounded like a broken record, but it got cut off all of a sudden.

It was like a horror movie with an eerie voiceover, and she was getting more and more frightened by her current situation. She mustered her courage and used her divine power. Unfortunately, she could do nothing. She was truly at the cosmic creature’s mercy.

"Oh, you’re there... You’re still so hostile. We shall meet again with our true presence sooner or later. We shall see who will dominate the others." The cosmic creature stared deep into Elysia’s soul. After that, it turned around and left.

Elysia was still trying to understand what had just happened. She could comprehend what the cosmic creature said this time. Even so, it was as if it wasn’t talking to her.

*Rumble!*

A cosmic storm of destruction rumbled, posing a huge threat.

A being of chaos and destruction. It warned Elysia of the consequences of her silence. Its many eyes locked onto her soul.

"Leave now, or be consumed by the void of chaos." The voice echoed with ancient power.

Elysia sensed the truth in its words. This was not a challenge she could face at the moment. It was as if she received a divine revelation of something like a universe-level final boss that awaited her arrival someday in the future.

Recognizing the imminent danger, Elysia found the cosmic creature had released her. Therefore, she gathered her strength to retreat. She focused on the protective sigils and chants, using them to shield her spirit.

With a surge of energy, she pushed herself away from the cosmic creature, back through the dimming stars and the returning light of the cosmos.

Elysia’s spiritual consciousness returned from the dream-like divine revelation to her physical body with a jolt. She gasped for air. Her heart was pounding with erratic fast beats. The twin halo glowed as it erected a protective circle around her body, indicating its work in keeping her safe.

"It’s okay. It was just a bad dream." Elena stroked Elysia’s face gently, then into a warm hug with a gentle caress.

"Mm..." Elysia buried her face in Elena’s embrace while rearranging her thoughts.

Once she regained her composure, she pushed Elena a little. "How long was I unconscious?"

"Two minutes. Whatever happens in the future, we’re always by your side." Elena put her hand to Elysia’s cheek as she wished to reassure Elysia’s restlessness.

"Thank you..." Elysia took a deep breath and returned to her feet.

"Can you tell me, who is trying to invade your mind? Your twin halo still looks alert." He-Dao pointed to the four-pointed star kaleidoscopic twin halo floating above Elysia’s head.

"Unknown Nightmare. Little to no information, but it should hold the truth about my true origin. Our encounter is inevitable..." Elysia shook her head and put her hand into He-Dao’s potent barrier, exiting the sealed space.

Elysium Group Chat was back online, and it was immediately flooded with messages from the worried members. After all, they got disconnected from Elysia for two minutes. Therefore, Elysia sent a message to calm them down.

"..." He-Dao took a deep breath.

He knew very well the hidden meaning of Elysia’s response. It was a very dangerous variable that could threaten even the Supreme Goddess.

If he thought about it again, Elysia was a Fallen Supreme Goddess. The thing outside the universe and zenith was something he still couldn’t grasp, and that Unknown Nightmare was possibly the cause of her fall.

Somehow, he couldn’t help but recall his past self when he was still on a young heavenly path, the little dao. Countless beings wished to have a piece of him. They hunted him down like no tomorrow.

Despite his current identity as the strongest one, the Heavenly God Emperor, he was once a tiny being bullied by many. Nirvana was the one who protected him at that time.

Elysia’s situation was similar, but she had no one to protect her, and that was probably the reason for her repeated deaths and reincarnations. She currently created a family so she wouldn’t feel lonely. Even though she tried to look tough, a hint of fear and worry still faintly radiated from her eyes.

"And here I am to impose her aid to save my world. The Unknown Nightmare should still be in the dark, failing to track her. Once the Nirvana Realm’s matter is resolved, I will use everything to help you out." He-Dao muttered to himself, determined to repay Elysia’s great favor with something in kind.
