My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 485: Seal of Approval

Chapter 485: Seal of Approval

Timus was so traumatized because of Lifa, and Rhea couldn’t help much either. Therefore, Nell was assisted by Aether and Sorush to persuade the talking seal to a peaceful talk.

Since there was no escape and the visitors harbored no obvious malice, Timus didn’t mind sharing his motivations and intentions.

"That Glen boy came to me with a super good deal. I hold no particular reason to open the dungeon to the public. The people, especially students, can use it to hone their skills. Truth be told, the reward given is just trivial. It’s just like a pebble, and they’ll be overjoyed over it. Unless they can reach the 50th floor or above, no good things will await, only second-rate replaceable things. As for the students, yeah... I accommodate them so nobody can manipulate these young seedlings like in the outside, very much like the Sky Library but for newbies." Timus puffed on his cigar and exhaled a donut-shaped smoke. "Damn, I miss donuts."

"Here. I happen to have some." Nell put a box of donuts on the table.

"Oh, very nice~" Timus grabbed the box with his flippers and threw all the donuts into his mouth.

"You were once a demon, but why did you choose a sea dog? Did you take it over or create a new body?" Sorush scratched his head, feeling a bit strange that his old friend had become a fat seal.

"Sea dog? This is a noble seal, you know? This one is immune to any poison and contamination. I’m recovering and preparing myself to handle that Polluted Sea God bastard. Damn! The world was saved from Ruvoid, and that bastard ruined many things." Timus gritted his teeth in anger.

"You took over it as your new body? Even though it is a perfect body in the form of a seal, it’s not like you to choose a sea beast. Can you tell us the details?" Nell crossed her arms as she recalled Timus valued his appearance very much, but the current him didn’t seem the same.

"That’s because I respect this young seal. He was swept away during a flash flood and somehow ended up near my dungeon. He was gravely injured, and on the brink of death... but I took pity on him. I listened to his last words. He begged me to save his kin, but I couldn’t even save myself. He sold his soul to me, and a trade offer was made." Timus sighed, feeling a bit sad.

"Then, what did you do after? Did you manage to save his kin?" Aether rubbed his chin in a deep understanding.

"Yeah, but I only managed to save twelve of his kindred. They still don’t know that I am a divine being. Those brats treated me as if I were their brother, Tim, the young seal." Timus rested his head on the table, sighing heavily.

"May I know where the original Tim went after he sold his soul to you? You took over his body, right?" Nell heaved a subtle sigh.

"He is dead after making his request. I took over, but I had no way to save his life. His soul went to me because of our contract. I should have consumed his soul to repair the crack in this remnant soul of mine, but I didn’t have the heart to do it. Do you know why? He kept staring at me with that puppy-like gaze! So, I kicked him out into the samsara along with his dead clanmates." Timus sighed as if it was a matter of deep regret.

It was only a conversation of less than five minutes, and he had already sighed repeatedly. He felt a bit sluggish and tired all of a sudden.

"Hum, you did a good thing." Nell nodded in agreement.

"Is it? But I still feel wronged. I don’t even know whether I’m male or female. Are seals originally born female, and when they become adult, they become male? I believe they called it sequential hermaphroditism, right? My weewee is gone..." Timus patted his belly and looked at his lower body. He had nothing down there.

"Thank you for telling us with such honesty. You are a man for sure. We will help you to repair your soul damage. Please take this and cultivate in seclusion for three hours." Elysia placed a vial containing a soul-repairing pill in front of Timus.

"Very much appreciated! But, how to differentiate my gender, miss?" Timus grabbed the vial and secured it with lightning speed, but the crucial point soon caught his attention.

"Isn’t that obvious?" Elysia looked at the confused seal from top to bottom and stopped at his bloated belly. She didn’t know how to tell the gender of a seal, but the status screen said Timus was a Male God.

"Lady! You shouldn’t be staring at my family jewel like that! I can no longer marry anyone. You-you have to take responsibility and become my spouse!" Timus gasped in surprise, but he had other intentions in mind since the lady in question was such a super lovely beauty.

Unfortunately, someone grabbed his head painfully all of a sudden.

"What nonsense are you spouting, Mister Seal? Even though you are a sea beast, if you wander around naked, anyone can see your whole body." He-Dao felt irritated for many reasons. He threw the fat seal into the sack and gave it to Amy.

The sack squirmed and struggled. Timus tore a hole in his head while voicing a lot of profanities.

But when he popped his head out of the sack, he encountered a red-haired lady looking at him with a pair of sharp scissors in hand.

"L-lady... I might misspoke it. That lovely lady is so mesmerizing, and I couldn’t help but tease her..." Timus gulped his saliva, feeling a bit nervous.

"I that so?" Amy smirked but continued with the cutting anyway.

"Aaah, no. O-oh!" Timus tried to run away and screamed in fear, worried that he would be castrated or something. Unfortunately, the red-haired lady just cut the sack for his flippers. It became his temporary clothes...

"Hum~ We initially thought that you might need a partial revival like Ice God and Sky God. However, you have found a way out to help yourself, so we shall leave the last quota to the Sky Library’s Sacred Chruch." Elysia tapped her cheek as if she considered it deeper.

"Eh, wait, what? You originally wished to revive me? Damn, I chose this partial revival then! Please help me out!" Timus hopped closer to the table to get his fair share of favor.

"We can’t do it because of your situation. Also, don’t you have a destiny with Tim the Seal? Your names are even similar. The best we can do is grant you a transformation technique. You can morph into a human form sooner or later." Lifa handed over a transformation scroll.

"Ugh, if only I knew..." Timus clenched his flipper into a fist, feeling regretful.

"Isn’t everything great now? You can put everything together, and once you ascend to godhood again, everything will be okay." Elysia chuckled softly.

"You’re right, lady. You have a seal of approval for that." Timus raised a thumbs up, but he had no fingers. He then cleared his throat and spoke like a gentleman. "Ahem! May I receive the honor to know your name, lady?"

"My name is Ely. Pleased to make your acquaintance, God of Trade, Timus." Elysia introduced herself politely.

"Hum, such a beautiful name. I can see you are the newly ascended Goddess. Have you received a divine title?" Timus rubbed his chin as he observed this new Goddess.

Actually, he could see many new divine beings in this group. He had to start to get to know them, and it should start with the one who looked the kindest.

"They call me the Goddess of Magic." Elysia thought about it. She had yet to decide her own divine title. Her original divine path was still confusing. Considering she could copy her Goddess sisters’ divinities, then it became even more complicated.

"O-oh~ So, you are the famous Goddess of Magic. Thanks for saving our world!" Timus shook the world savior’s hand with great awe. He also kissed her hand like a cultured gentleman.

"Err... that’s not me alone. My Goddess sisters contributed greatly. I can’t do it without them." Elysia retracted her hand by reflex.

"Take this as our goodwill." Lifa threw a storage pouch at Timus.

"Hm? Why are you being generous all of a sudden? There’s no trap in it, right?" Timus checked the storage pouch, but the contents inside were only resources for his recovery.

"I won’t punish you anymore because of your past great offense. We’ll engage the world boss raid tomorrow morning. The target is the Polluted Sea God. Feel free to join the raid team." Lifa heaved a subtle sigh and turned around.

"..." Timus felt that a lightning bolt struck him with extreme shock. The lady death would no longer punish him with endless nightmares, and he could finally feel peace at night.

He was stupid to overstep his boundaries and offended her in the past. Regardless, he got punished and beaten up severely. And, she finally forgave him!

"Ow, oww, oww!" Timus sobbed a bit and expressed his gratitude. Unfortunately, his overwhelming feeling was spoken in the beast language.

"If you’re that grateful, you should convey it to Misty Garden Misstress as soon as possible. She asked us to help you." Lifa looked back once and handed over an orb to Aether. "We’ll leave one last partial revival and some emergency assistance in the Sky Library. I entrust this to you. Apart from Timus, we still have three other great dungeons out there. Who knows how many will resurface in the future."

"Please rest assured, lady. We’ll try our best to help them out when the time comes. That’s if they deserve it, of course." Aether accepted the favor respectfully.

"Misty Garden Misstress, huh..." Timus murmured under his breath.

"Then, it’s resolved. That’s good for you, Timus. You’ll join the rising gang with Sorush and Aether." Nell nodded with satisfaction at the result, but something was still bothering her. "Hey, what’s wrong with that blue-robed man? He’s your puppet, right? Why does he possess a thick bad karma?"

"Hic... just ignore him. He was a refined human puppet of an academy traitor. I killed him when the academy was reformed four years ago. His ability is pretty useful, and it would be a shame to just dispose of him. The gu spider controlled him under my command. Ugh, damn... I should recruit some beauties to take care of my every need, but it’s still so risky to let in outsiders..." Timus wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes.

"I know you..." Sorush patted Timus’ back as if he knew the feel.

"..." Nell averted her gaze and flew away.
