Chapter 495: Woke Up and Chose Violence
Chapter 495: Woke Up and Chose Violence
Several titanic monsters of corruption, the calamity water demons roiled the water of the eastern ocean. Their presence twisted the sea into a dark, stormy abyss, where monstrous creatures and vile magic thrived.
The once pristine sea had long become a corrupted domain, the water blackened and churning with malevolent energy.
"Elysium Goddesses sent the calamity beasts as the reinforcement. Our primary enemies are the Polluted Sea God’s avatars and minions with three hundred of them being God-level monsters. We shall eliminate them, and force the real Polluted Sea God out!" Dory exclaimed and directed her trident toward the Polluted Sea God’s army below. "Wales."
"Yes, ma’am!" Wales, the All-Devouring Whale, lowered his tail and then swiftly raised it up.
As a divine whale that could devour a world, Wales easily commanded the sea under the Polluted Sea God’s influence. Monstrous amounts of seawater lifted to the sky, forming several water towers that confined many sea monsters.
A gigantic Humanoid Kraken Demon leaped out of the towering sea, darting towards the flying whale. "Arrogant!"
"A God-tier avatar. Kraken Demon, your opponent is me." Hydragon made a swift spin, releasing a powerful tail whip.
Unfortunately, his tail got caught by the Kraken Demon. In response to that, Hydragon used his nine heads to tear the Kraken Demon’s head to pieces.
"Fool. You bit the corruption, and you’ll get swallowed from within, becoming one of our underlings." The Kraken Demon recovered his missing head, grinning tauntingly.
"With the Goddesses at our back, we never fear the corruption! My fellow calamity beasts, it’s our hunting ground now!" Hydragon roared in disdain and tore the Kraken Demon’s entire body into shreds.
By the time he was about to grab the Kraken Demon’s core, several tentacle lashes knocked him back, and the core swiftly recovered the gigantic Kraken Demon’s body as if nothing had happened before.
"Truly resilient, but we still have the way out. Since we don’t need to fear corruption, then nothing holds me back. Let’s fckin go! Woohoo!~" The Volcanic Giant Worm threw himself into the sea, emitting the destructive heat of magma.
He clung to one of the gigantic sea monsters and began to the underwater battle.
Simultaneously, the other calamity beasts that could fight underwater rushed into the battle between the colossal monsters in the dark sea below.
Luna, Lynn, Sylvia, Vanessa, Yuuki, Ella, Evelyn, Lyla, Morfina, Yae, Ariel, and Yusagi leaped from the All-Devouring Whale’s back to the nearby calamity beasts. They became the beast riders, ready to enter battle.
Dory issued strategic orders, directing each faction to their optimal positions according to the devised plan.
Elves took the higher ground, fairies formed swift attack squadrons, beastkins alongside the dragons prepared for aerial assaults, and dwarves fortified the front lines.
The devils at the backline as the pure long-range damage dealers, the humans assisted in the mid-lane for all-out assault, and the beasts formed the annihilation formation at the outer circle.
As for the monster army and the main raid team, they engaged in close-range proximity, raining continuous attacks focused on the God-tier water demon avatars near the water’s surface.
Dragons swooped down, unleashing torrents of fire and lightning magic. Elven archers and fairy spellcasters rained destruction from above, while dwarven cannons thundered, aiming the monsters inside the towering waters.
The beasts assisted the battle with their anti-water large cannons, the humans chanted their AoE holy magic to weaken the enemies, and the devils unleashed their anti-matter cannons to obliterate the Polluted Sea God’s minions.
Despite their relentless assault, only a handful of God-tier water demons took action to fight the calamity beasts, led by Hydragon. However, the water demons could regenerate and revive upon death endlessly, including the weaker minions. Only the corrupted sea monsters could be killed. The water demon avatar’s death rate was still zero.
High above the battlefield, a radiant light appeared. Nell cast her blessing magic to empower the allied forces. Their strength and resolve were magnified by the divine favor.
"You’ve nothing to fear. Ignore the water demon’s endless regeneration. Open the path and suppress the enemies. This is their domain. Nothing can be done before the Polluted Sea God is dealt with." The Goddess of Blessings’ voice resonated through the minds of the warriors, boosting their every attack for maximum effects.
"For the Goddesses, we shall cleanse this corrupted sea! Uraa!" Alexander shouted out loud in his golden mechanized golem armor, tearing the gigantic sea monster.
His battle cry boosted the morale of the human soldiers, knowing the Goddess of Blessings already graced her presence upon them with her blessings. They had nothing to fear.
Dory stood on Wales’ back, overseeing the overall situation. She then asked her sisters for assistance. "We need to force more Polluted Sea God’s avatars to the water surface."
"Alright. It’s our showtime. I’ll go as the vanguard. Noir, let’s go." Sylvia received the signal and volunteered to advance at the very front of the main force.
The other sisters with their respective mounts followed suit, and plunged into battle.
Dory took a deep breath and began with her sound manipulation ability, singing a song amplified with magic to obstruct the indescribable signal from the ocean’s depth.
---
When the eastern ocean’s corrupted sea turned into a sea of ??fire rained down by countless bombardments from the World Association, the Sky Library had just arrived. Upon their arrival, they witnessed the high-level battlefield between the world’s highest-level military forces and the corrupted sea monsters.
Everyone wanted to contribute greatly to the battle, resembling a competition between factions. Even the Emperors had jumped into the battlefield with enthusiasm.
"..." Timus was speechless. The battle should have just started, but he felt his arrival was super late.
"The sunrise just here. We’re not too late, right?" Sorush covered his forehead as he looked at the eastern horizon.
"Yeah. We’re just a little late. The combined forces should open the path. We need to find the world boss raid’s target before the apocalypse-level cannon can be fired from orbit." Aether averted his gaze.
He then sent his command to the Sky Library’s top-tier combatants to prepare to engage in battle. The magic academy’s elite group would also participate.
Meanwhile, the students and priestesses would remain in the Sky Library because the battlefield wasn’t something they could handle yet. After all, they were there mainly to spectate the world boss raid to broaden their horizons.
"The battle between Gods has not yet occurred. We should move with caution. I’ll collect some intel for them." Timus reminded his old friends before jumping down to the corrupted sea below.
He wasn’t a part of the primary raid team to fight the Polluted Sea God. Everyone had no information related to the main target, but he would fix it soon so the Goddesses could make their move straight to the Polluted Sea God.
"Lord God!" Glenn was shocked when the God of Trade suddenly jumped down into the corrupted sea.
"Since he is so confident, then he can make it out safely. He will not trade his life here. He knows what he’s doing." Sorush patted Glenn’s back.
"He is immune to poison and corruption. We should do our part as well. There are around three hundred God-tier water demon avatars and more than two thousand minions. Plus, their annoying endless regenerations and millions of sea monsters. This is their domain and this will not be easy." Aether materialized his ice armor.
"Good. We shall make our move now. Switch to battle mode." Sorush sent his command through the plate in his hands.
Dozens of magical weapons sprang up from various parts of the floating island. Atop the library’s dome, a gigantic cannon emerged, ready to unleash a long-range attack.
As an opening attack, the ultimate attack was unleashed to eradicate the monsters, opening the path to the ocean’s depth.
*Swoosh!*
The beam of light, condensed from high-level destructive elemental magics, shot through the clouds. The beam hit the underwater sea monster horde and caused an electromagnetic explosion that obliterated the corrupted monsters, and evaporated them into water vapors.
Unfortunately, the Sky Library’s firepower was pretty weak compared to the other factions. It was created for defense, not attack, after all.
"I’ll go. Follow my lead!" Aether boarded his ice sword, leading the group to plunge into battle with confidence. The enemy’s attribute was mainly water, so his ice power would be super effective against such an enemy.
"I’ll guard your back!" Sorush waved his hand and leaped to the nearby tower.
"So, this is a high-level battle... the entire world unite to eliminate the common adversary." Milena, the magic academy’s student council president, hugged her arms. She trembled in both awe and fear at the high-level battle that unfolded before her eyes.
The other students of the magic academy, disciples of the Sky Library, and priestesses of the Sacred Church had varied expressions when watching the entire sea being bombarded by countless destructive magics.
The Aquatic Continent, the civilization of the aquatic race beneath the sea, would be cleansed from the Polluted Sea God’s dominion.
The priestesses clasped their hands in prayers. Several people witnessed the bright golden light above the clouds, and they finally realized that they were already in the presence of a Goddess.
"Is that light the Goddess of Blessings? Hey, everyone... should we miss this opportunity? I heard the ones who contributed to this war to cleanse the evil will receive the Goddess’ favor. The Goddesses who saved the world five years ago already returned! They bestowed their blessings upon all the warriors on the battlefield!" One of the Sky Library’s students voiced his thoughts out as he also craved to receive the Goddess’ favor.
