Chapter 504: Plan E

Delora couldn’t understand why her plan to take over the world would shatter into ruin all of a sudden. Her plan and preparation were rendered useless, and she was driven to the corner.

The Goddesses who saved the world five years ago returned suddenly, and they came to grant her a divine punishment. In response to the threat, she devised a thorough trap to take down the World Alliance and the Goddesses in her domain.

They would be her stepping stones to achieve true ascension beyond the world’s laws and boundaries. Yet, her in-depth preparation had gone for naught.

The Goddesses got backed up by something unknown. She was initially pretty confident to take down everyone, including the five Goddesses, but that was only if she remained in her prime condition as in the initial plan!

"The Goddess of Life!" Delora shouted out loud to the sky. Above all, she had to take down the most dangerous one first.

She held the Goddess of Life’s weakness, and she could defeat the divine being who once held the title of the 3rd strongest divinity in the ancient era of Gods.

Her contamination and corruption could do their job to corrupt the Goddess of Life, and bring enemy to her side, but the juicy target remained in the sky, far from her reach.

"Where are you looking?"

"How bold of you to divert your attention from us."

"Are you still so confident to survive the onslaught from dozens of Emperors?"

The Dragon King, the Holy Pope, and the Dwarven Emperor unleashed their brute forces to suppress the Polluted Sea God in a fortified press.

The other Emperors took advantage of the slight delay to hit the heart of the corruption. The only way to trigger the third phase was to kill the Polluted Sea God.

"You, weaklings truly courting death!" Delora gritted her teeth. She kept saving her power to corrupt the Goddesses above so they could kill each other and eradicate the other small fries for her, but these Emperors truly challenged her bottom line.

If she couldn’t escape nor reach the Goddesses, then she might as well corrupt these Emperors to hunt the Goddesses. They had to face their own allies, and it would give her enough time to escape.

When the Polluted Sea God opened her mouth wide, Dylan found the enemy targeting him. He immediately used his blood escape technique, pushing anyone in the attack trajectory. "Back off!"

*Swoosh!*

The water beam of the dark corruption shot out without any prior notice, almost hitting the Elven Empress Ashera.

Yet, the beam of corruption suddenly moved to the side.

"Aspis!" Ashera hastily used her highest-grade ancient artifact, manifesting multiple layers of defensive force shield to cover everyone around her.

The shield’s first layer got splashed and turned black, breaking down quickly. The second and third shields couldn’t even withstand for five seconds before shattering.

When Ashera paled because she couldn’t withstand the beam of corruption for long, the other Emperors immediately made their move. Unfortunately, the beam once again shifted, targeting them.

"Bold move!" Dylan emerged from the blood mist, smashing the Polluted Sea God’s big head to the ground.

*Boom!*

The water fountain of corruption splashed everywhere, creating rain that contaminated the magical energy in the air to influence everyone to insanity.

"Tch." Dylan clenched his left arm and extended his left hand forward. He erected a massive blood dome to contain the Polluted Sea God and the fountain of corruption.

He sacrificed his own blood to the corrupted energy without hesitation because he knew he couldn’t retract the contaminated blood back to his body.

"!!!" Dylan immediately checked his surroundings, worried the other Emperors would backstab him because of the liquid of corruption.

Fortunately, they used their own method in time to keep themselves free from any contact with the black rain just now.

When the crimson blood dome became black, Dylan lost control over it. The dome melted and the Polluted Sea God slurped it like a delicious juice.

Thought revitalized, the ultimate technique just now put the Polluted Sea God on a cooldown. She looked around to check how many Emperors had fallen into insanity for her to control. Yet, everyone still looked sane despite being contaminated by her liquid of corruption. "W-what?!"

"I was surprised the World Alliance’s god-slaying weapons could only cause you some minor injuries. Currently, you can no longer unleash any ultimate move within a certain period. So, any last words?" Rhea descended from the sky with a glowing blade in hand as if she would perform as the executioner.

In the cooldown period, the Polluted Sea God couldn’t unleash any ultimate attack or finisher move. Although the enemy might still possess many tricks behind one’s sleeve, it was the best opportunity to impose judgment.

"You! What are you?! You don’t even know-"

*Whamp!* *Rumble!*

The Polluted Sea God was about to flee with everything she had, but the Goddess of Nature, the one renowned as the Goddess of Life’s adopted daughter and successor, landed on her back like an immovable mountain crusher. The ground shattered, creating a deep crater like a meteor had just fallen.

Rhea’s ruled over nature to restrain the Polluted Sea God’s limbs with multiple elemental power, not even Delora’s hair escaped the shackle.

The other Emperors remained silent, pondering the Goddess of Nature’s previous remark. She hinted their god-slaying weapon wasn’t strong enough for such a grand name.

It was the first time they used their most powerful ultimate power to kill a God, but the results were disappointing.

"Good job, everyone. Your contribution is witnessed by Goddess Master. I won’t steal the kill and take the credit. Dory, Celes, Hea, please move to plan E." Rhea put the last seal to restrain the Polluted Sea God in place.

"Yes." Dory nodded in understanding and immediately approached as instructed. She was escorted by the Goddess of Life’s daughters, Hea and Celes who represent the elf and fairy respectively.

Plan E represented the Execution. It was the method that would be implemented if they managed to take advantage of the enemy’s weakness to deal the killing blow.

Dory’s sound magic and the Blade of Anguish would do their part to skip the third phase and extract the Sea God’s divine essence from the Polluted Sea God, saving them from a lot of trouble.

If the Polluted Sea God devoured the original Sea God, they had to extract him out. And if she just stole his power, then they still had to extract his divine essence to track his whereabouts. At Lifa’s request, they had to find the original Sea God’s whereabouts and uncover the truth.

"What is plan E?" Celes asked her elder sister in confusion.

"Did you sleep during the briefing? It’s the swift plan where we will directly take care of this thing before her final form. It’s like a lucky shortcut during her cooldown period to kill her." Hea cleared her throat and explained a little.

Rhea handed over the Blade of Anguish to Dory, and Dory received it with great honor. She thought her master only allowed her to kill the Polluted Sea God once, but she didn’t expect that she also receive the opportunity to execute the great evil.

"!!!" Delora widened her eyes in fear as the pink mermaid climbed to her chest.

"You never thought this day would come, right? Why don’t you mourn all the sins you’ve ever committed? The little bug who tried to devour the world. This is your end!" Dory plunged the Blade of Anguish into the Polluted Sea God’s heart of corruption.

The Polluted Sea God’s current form was still in her gigantification state. Her colossal body was like a moving hill, but the blade, despite being small and only penetrating the flesh a bit, still pierced the heart.

The after-effect that followed was great anguish, disrupting the corrupted energy from within, damaging the mind, and causing tremendous pain.

Dory kept chanting some inaudible words from her mouth, inflicting depressing sound magic to push all the sorrows to Delora’s unstable mind.

The colossal monster cried a river, but Rhea’s shackle was still bound to the monster’s mouth to prevent any banshee-like ear-piercing scream.

Seconds passed, but the battlefield became silent despite the high-level clashes between the sea monsters and the World Alliance’s forces that were still continuing.

Lifa descended to the ground a few seconds later. She patted Dory’s shoulder and whispered softly to console the sad heart.

Dory nodded in understanding. She leaped from the shackled Polluted Sea God’s colossal body and took a safe distance.

At the same time, the Polluted Sea God’s body began to melt into a pitch-black lake. Dory’s divine spear was still stuck on a seemingly mermaid corpse, but it had been corroded heavily, on the brink of shattered into pieces. Beside the trident, the Blade of Anguish was also corroded, but it sealed Delora in an abyss of anguish with no path of return.

Lifa floated to the dried mermaid corpse. Delora was still alive, but she dealt a finishing blow to pierce the heart of corruption, killing the Polluted Sea God. Not finished with that, she also extracted Delora’s soul and performed a soul search to uncover the truth.

"How pitiful, but death is too cheap for all your sins. So, that’s the situation... you somehow absorbed a part of his soul and stole his divine power, huh." Lifa pulled out something out of the corrupted soul. It was the contaminated divinity fragment belonging to the original Sea God.

She purified it a bit and used it to track Oceanid’s whereabouts. He wouldn’t die easily, and she was sure of it. And her guess was proven correct. Oceanid was still alive somewhere, buried deep in the earth.

"Sigh..." Lifa sealed the corrupted soul in a soul orb sealing artifact and looked up, informing Elysia of all the information she got and requesting assistance.

"Is it over?" Dylan couldn’t help but ask.

"No. It’s not over yet. The corrupted sea monsters and water demon minions are still alive. Warriors, please slay them all, especially the water demon avatar! Don’t let the Polluted Sea God revive herself with those avatars as the medium!" Rhea spread her arms, pointing to the surrounding battles.

"!!!" The surrounding Emperors gasped in shock. They thought the water demons would perish and the corruption would vanish once the world boss raid was over. They killed the mastermind’s true body, but their guess was wrong.

Nevertheless, it was time to harvest a good amount of soul core fragments. The killing spree then began to cleanse the evil seeds from the corrupted sea.
