My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 527: Practice Class in the Simulated Realm

Chapter 527: Practice Class in the Simulated Realm

At the illustrious Heavenly Palace’s training ground attended by more than two hundred Gods and Immortals, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation. The Supreme Goddess of Mysterious Origin became their divine teacher, a figure of serene grace and immense power. She conducted her magic lesson with a calm authority that commanded respect.

The students, even the most talented high-rank Primordial Gods, and Ancient Immortals, listened intently as she wove her intricate spells, demonstrating the subtleties of advanced magical theory.

After her speech, the preliminary lesson started with the cursed orb. The students had to destroy it by any means and handle the heavenly curse aftermath by themselves.

The most powerful student only took several seconds to demonstrate true power to everyone. However, the others required more time and struggle to pass the preliminary lesson before they could advance to the real combat simulation.

However, among the attentive students, one particular delinquent-looking guy sat with an air of arrogance.

The arrogant student leaned back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips. It only took him thirty seconds to destroy the cursed orb and overcome the heavenly curse, but he had to wait for the others to finish their stuff.

As the divine teacher explained the delicate balance required for clearing the preliminary lesson, he let out a derisive laugh, interrupting her flow.

"Is this really what we’re wasting our time on? This is the third class, and I have barely learned anything despite the huge amount of tuition fees." The Shadow Monarch sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "This is pathetic. You call yourself standing at the pinnacle, but you can’t even handle a simple cursed orb without trembling in fear. Damn! It’s taking so slow. You’re dragging my legs."

It hadn’t even been five minutes since the preliminary lesson started, and someone was already too bored and causing a scene.

The atmosphere fell silent and everyone paused their task, all eyes turning toward the Shadow Monarch. Most of the students knew that remark was aimed at them, those who had yet to destroy the cursed orb.

Elysia was unfazed by the interruption. She only looked at the Shadow Monarch with a tranquil gaze. But, her calm demeanor betrayed none of the irritation that the other students felt.

"Do you find this preliminary lesson lacking?" Elysia asked. Her voice remained soft yet carrying the weight of authority.

"Absolutely." The Shadow Monarch replied. He crossed his arms, staring at the other students. "Just quit while you still can. It’s not a shame to stay on the backline. If you take more than five minutes to overcome it, you will die before you achieve anything in the upcoming Nirvana Great War."

A collective gasp rose from the other students, but Elysia simply nodded as she couldn’t help but reply with a faint smile.

Apparently, it wasn’t actually someone who wanted to create a scene, but a guy who wished to proceed faster and encourage the others to catch up. If such difficulties hindered them, then nobody could save them in the Nirvana Great War.

Considering that the death toll couldn’t be avoided, only the elite of the elites in the most capable high-rank divine warriors would face the adversaries at the forefront.

"Very well, but be patient." Elysia said before the irritated Gods and Immortals would rebuke the Shadow Monarch’s remark. She put her hands together, her eyes glinting with a hidden challenge. "If you believe this preliminary lesson insufficient, we shall take it a step further in the combat training simulation."

"Well then." The Shadow Monarch crossed his arms and closed his eyes.

"..." He-Dao squinted his gaze at that arrogant brat. Luckily Elysia was so cool-headed and elegant, not offended by the implied taunt.

This preliminary lesson only introduced the initial corrupted energy and the heavenly curse that they would face later. The true challenge awaited at the combat training simulation, and that arrogance would be vanquished mercilessly if one wasn’t careful. Even he and his strongest agents had to struggle a lot and suffer before the Ruvoid’s curse. His agents and his avatar literally died once in that simulation...

Half an hour later all 256 students finally finished their preliminary lesson. They managed to destroy the corrupted orb and handled the heavenly curse unharmed.

Most of the students took the opportunity to study it in a deeper sense. They didn’t choose to handle everything with the most swift and effective method even though they could do so. They would rather use the opportunity to learn more about what they could do to reach their full potential against the heavenly curse.

As for the Shadow Monarch’s previous offensive remark, they took that silly mocking as mere nonsense.

"With such arrogance, you may suffer one day. The current Nirvana Abyssal Demon is not the same as those from the second cataclysm. They aren’t Heavenly Demons either. Let’s see your performance in the real combat training." The Primordial Sea Dragon commented sarcastically.

"What are you yapping about? Just don’t fall behind to just show off your pathetic performance. This venerable may be the youngest among the primordial, but even you can’t even take me head-on. If your result is bad, I shall personally kick you out of the class, dud." The Shadow Monarch clicked his tongue.

The class progressed so slowly, thanks to the inexperienced and those who wanted to savor everything bestowed by the divine teacher. The Supreme Goddess of Mysterious Origin couldn’t ignore those weaklings because the essence of the class was imparting her knowledge, methods, and techniques.

If he could book a private training with the Supreme Goddess of Mysterious Origin, he would have definitely done it. Unfortunately, Heavenly Dao permitted no one to bother the divine teacher out of the Heavenly Palace’s arrangement and management.

At this rate, it might take so long before everyone was well-versed before the authentic adversaries. Regardless, he probably could still use this practice class as an opportunity to kick some weaklings out of the class.

Elysia checked the Shadow Monarch’s status screen. As one of the primordials from the 2nd cataclysm, he could rival Amy flawlessly, and probably only slightly inferior to He-Dao’s right-hand confidante, Yuna.

That guy’s arrogant smirk somehow could easily trigger people. They would get annoyed for no reason. Just like a taunt skill to pull the aggro, it would invite a strong urge to beat that guy into a pulp.

’He’s trying to pull the aggro to draw your attention as well, Ely. Beware of this player.’ Elena reminded Elysia as she knew that guy was scheming something.

’I knew. But, I don’t understand why he complained about the fees. Everyone is aware that the tuition fees will mostly be used for war preparation and class expenditures. Anyway, Elena, Ai, Zera... I need your help to spawn the extreme level difficulty in the advanced battle simulation later.’ Elysia heaved a subtle sigh.

’Understood.’ Ai replied curly as she knew Elysia’s intention. They had to teach the arrogant students a lesson so those students would behave.

’Your command is my order, milady.’ Zera responded with a profound tone. She recently formed a partial soul bond with Elysia, and it truly put her heart at ease because it would mean a guarantee.

They required time for a full soul bond because she possessed nine combined existences, including her and Celestia, within her body. Elysia was still adapting to the new situation and her other eight personalities, but the day when Elysia would completely dominate her was already visible before her eyes.

Zera’s desire was unconsciously conveyed via the soul bond. Elysia felt a bit awkward to know Zera truly wished to be dominated by her.

’It goes without saying. Let’s open the simulated realm and let them suffer~’ Elena rubbed her hand, feeling incredibly excited.

Elysia nodded and summoned the simulated realm’s key core. With a graceful wave of her hand, she materialized an orb on her palm that shimmered with an otherworldly light.

"You’ve got used against the corrupted energy and heavenly curse. We will proceed with our practice in the simulated realm." Elysia announced. "There, you will have the opportunity to train against adversaries, without restraint, without fear of causing great destruction, and without the worry of dying."

The students exchanged uneasy glances, but the Shadow Monarch’s smirk widened. He rose from his seat. "Finally, something interesting."

"Activate." Elysia activated her divine artifact.

In an instant, the familiar training ground scenery dissolved, replaced by a breathtaking, otherworldly landscape.

Everyone found themselves standing in the heart of an unknown celestial realm. The ground beneath their feet was composed of shimmering, crystalline structures that reflected the light of distant, swirling galaxies. Towering spires of iridescent stone reached toward the heavens, and the sky above was a canvas of vibrant nebulae and twinkling stars. Ethereal auroras danced across the horizon, painting the celestial landscape with hues of violet, azure, and gold.

In this awe-inspiring domain, the students felt the immense power of the universe pulsating around them. The divine teacher’s presence was more commanding than ever, her figure radiating with an ethereal glow. She extended her hand, and a portal opened, revealing many massive, fearsome corrupted creatures from the depths of outer space.

"This is your new training ground. From this portal, you will face the outer space monsters that roam the far reaches of the cosmos. You will learn to harness your power, to adapt, and to overcome adversaries. If you can prove yourself capable, accumulate one hundred scores or above, and you shall receive the permit to challenge the Nirvana Abyssal Demon’s replica." Elysia announced. Her voice resonated through the realm.
