<| Talent: 7 Stars | Heavenly(3) |>
Miko checked the Ashen Eye’s leader, and his amount of divine energy much or less could be suppressed by Amy alone. She then looked around briefly, scanning the entire hall.
The captives, namely the merchants, were bound by the particular ash-like energy ropes. They were silenced and stripped half naked, and all of their possessions, including the stuff they were going to sell, were confiscated by those thieves.
The merchants were by all means not weak. Still, Ashen Eye Organization possessed a unique demonic power to weaken the barrier’s prowess and power boost with high penetration power against any defensive type technique. Not to mention, the sealing power to confine the space was used to knock out almost everyone without causing any noise to alarm anyone from outside.
Without infiltration and ambush, these thieves would have close to zero possibility of controlling the entire building. Unfortunately, there was clearly an insider helping them from within.
"Hold on." Miko extended her hand to the side as she didn’t want this thief boss to touch Yuuki.
"What does this mean? Do you want a piece of her too? Worry not, bald head. I never treat my people wrongly. You did a good job of capturing the Mystic Stellar Saintess flawlessly. If I’m bored with her, I can give her to you." Ashgourd frowned, but he smirked as if he knew what his subordinate wanted.
"That’s not it, boss. But, Mystic Stellar Saintess already called reinforcements before she came here. Mystic Stellar’s elders are on their way here as we speak. This merchant gathering event was held for her friend, and this friend of hers is by all means not simple." Miko observed the surroundings again.
No merchants in this hall were killed because these thieves wished to extort those merchants, but several guards and bodyguards were either dead or already on the brink of death.
"Then, it’s troubling. But, since when did you become a pretty good at this, muscle head?" Ashgourd was suspicious of something.
"Your fate is already sealed, and nobody of you can escape from here." Mytia smirked disdainfully.
"Silence, wench!" Ashgourd was about to slap Mytia, but she immediately took a step back.
"What should we do? Can we withstand the wrath of an Immortal Lord and five elders of Mystic Stellar? They should have surrounded this building." Miko looked aside, pretending to be confused.
"That’s it. You lack the intelligence for this kind of thing. You see, we have her as hostage. Even though they seal this entire realm, we can still escape safely." Ashgourd snorted sarcastically as if looking down on Mystic Stellar Sacred Ground.
"We’ve still got our backup, huh..." Miko rubbed her chin.
"That’s right. They’re on standby. I’ll handle that bastard first before our escape. It would be best if I could curse or poison him before we leave. Hmm... that’s right. We can use it. After that, keke... the Mystic Stellar Saintess, the beautiful saintess revered by many, will be humiliated in public and sold in a faraway land as a slave. Ha ha ha!" Ashgourd laughed deviously.
He then snatched the chain that bound Mytia and grabbed her cheeks, uttering several intimidating sentences to plunge her into despair.
Unfortunately, Mytia wasn’t scared or intimidated at all. She just felt very annoyed and disgusted because she finally understood that this man was one of those involved in the incident that harmed her father.
"Come here. I have something." Miko beckoned the other 15th Rank Immortal, Ashgourd’s right-hand man, to come closer.
"What is it, bastard? Can you just say it?" The masked man grumbled, but he still came closer.
Once the masked man entered the reach, Miko raised her finger.
"Time Freeze!" Yuuki cast her heavenly ice’s ultimate technique right away, freezing the time in a two-hundred-meter radius for a few seconds.
"!!!" Everyone was shocked beyond measure. They tried their best to break free, but it was too late.
"See ya." Miko cast her direct teleportation with a simple finger flick on the Ashen Eye’s leader and his right-hand man.
*Poof*
Yuuki’s time freeze could only freeze time for two seconds before the spell was destroyed. However, it was more than enough for Miko to send the most powerful foes to outer space, ambushed by twelve Heavenly Agents.
As for the rest, it was only several thieves below the 15th Rank. The Mystic Stellar’s reinforcements and the cleaning team would be the ones to handle those people.
"Sir Muscle Head, what do you mean by sending our boss and Sir Masked Immortal away? Do you want to rebel?!" The nearby masked thief asked in disbelief.
"How dare he to touch my friend, uh..." Miko gracefully took out a handkerchief to wipe Mytia’s cheek. "Are you okay?"
"Mm, thank you. He’s so disgusting, but please allow us to punish that villain under Mystic Stellar’s rules, my lady." Mytia removed the fake sea stone handcuffs.
"Then, you need to negotiate with Amy. Even if you wish to punish him with a death sentence." Miko shook her head.
"Sir Muscle Head! Are you rebelling and collaborating with the enemy, betraying us?!" The young thief shot like the wind, aiming his dagger close to the rebel’s neck.
"Rebel, betray? I’m not him, to begin with." Miko flicked her finger, removing her disguise. The bald-headed villain vanished like an illusion, replaced by a fair, tender lady in a white-red sacred priestess robe.
*Bam!*
Yuuki and Mytia immediately knocked the attacker to the floor. At the same time, Miko raised her hand high and put two fingers into her mouth. She whistled and empowered it with the divine law of sound to shatter the barrier that confined the space around the hall and seventh floor.
*Fweet!* *Boom!*
A loud whistle sounded from the seventh floor, followed by an icy explosion on the same floor.
"That’s the signal! Everyone, charge! Seal the entire building. Let no one escape!" Magnus shouted out loud to all the troops he brought. He flew straight to the seventh floor, followed by the Elysium Family’s ladies.
In response to Mytia’s previous emergency call, Magnus called forth Mystic Stellar’s full force. It was truly a heavy slap on his face to let the Supreme Goddess be caught in a mess at an event they were preparing for her.
More than two hundred experts led by five elders and sect master himself stormed the Libra Tower, sealing any possible exits, and striking the thieves in a vicious confrontation.
Several floors were burned and destroyed during the clash. The overwhelming force managed to kill the thieves and capture some for interrogation. Because the enemy had no powerhouse above the 14th Rank, Magnus as an Immortal Lord suppressed everyone with ease.
The merchants were rescued, and their belongings were returned. However, the majority of their belongings were lost because the three leading villains vanished without a trace.
"Mystic Stellar, how would you explain this incident?"
"You invited us and you used us as bait to ambush a group of terrorists?!"
"Apart from losing our bodyguard and suffering a loss, we were also injured because of this incident. We haven’t talked about the psychological wounds caused by this incident."
"If you cannot provide a satisfactory explanation and compensation, don’t blame us to turn our back and gather our force to fight Mystic Stellar!"
The wronged merchants began to voice their dissatisfaction, anger, and annoyance towards Mystic Stellar’s people, especially the saintess, the one who invited them.
"Err... please put on your clothes first." Mytia looked aside somewhat embarrassedly. It would be impossible to engage in any conversation if the other parties were only clad in their underwear.
The angry merchants looked down and toned down their anger a bit. They grabbed their spare robes and surrounded the Mystic Stellar Saintess as they demanded her explanation regarding the current incident.
"Please excuse us, but our lady will personally provide an explanation regarding this incident for the Mystic Stellar Saintess." One of the heavenly servants intervened politely, but there was authority in her voice.
"Heavenly Palace Crest... you are Heavenly Palace’s people?" The leading merchant gasped in surprise.
Six heavenly servants in the white-gold servant uniform came out of nowhere and they had a crest of the highest authority in the entire Divine World imprinted on their apron, skirt, headpiece, and sleeves.
Miko stepped forward to mediate between Mytia and the angry merchants. "My name is Miko, Sacred Sakura Priestess, the one who asked Saintess Mytia for a favor to hold this event. However, a terrorist attack occurred, and it went beyond our predictions. However, their dishonorable actions will never succeed without the help of insiders. Everyone involved in guarding the Libra Tower is someone who has been specially selected by Mystic Stellar, but I see there are some dishonest people here."
"Sacred Sakura Priestess?"
"Such a young girl is escorted by six Heavenly Palace’s servants."
"I don’t remember any Heavenly Palace’s affiliates with such a title. Even Mystic Stellar Saintess never received this kind of treatment despite her close involvement with the Heavenly Palace."
"Has Heavenly Palace finally appointed a saintess?"
Words of wonder arose as the merchants were both surprised and doubtful.
"My apologies, but we are not the escort, but Her Grace’s personal servants appointed directly by the Lord of Heaven. I hope our lady’s explanation satisfies you." One of the heavenly servants interrupted the wondering merchants’ discussions.
"O-oh~ then, how will you handle this situation? Do you want to say there are moles and traitors among us?" The leading merchant threw the blame as he couldn’t afford such humiliation and great loss with just an explanation, but his fury and tone softened a lot.
"Precisely. Mytia, please check all the merchants here. Tell me who is missing from this hall. And, you... come here." Miko pointed to the red-haired merchant in the corner.
"M-me?" The red-haired merchant pointed to his face.
"Yes, you. Come here." Miko nodded and beckoned to him to immediately come before her.
"..." The red-haired merchant came closer as if he had never done wrong, but his gut feeling warned him to run away right away.
