My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 538: Destroy the Pirates

Chapter 538: Destroy the Pirates

"Although faint, you have a similar aura as those people. Are you their accomplice?" Miko made a baseless accusation, but she knew this red-haired guy was suspicious.

"Pardon me, young lady. But, isn’t it too much to accuse me, a victim, of being part of those bastards? If we weren’t in this situation, I could sue you for defamation." The red-haired guy frowned, questioning with complaint.

"Dishonest guy. This guy is a collaborator. Should we cast an honesty spell so you’ll confess?" Miko had nothing to explain her suspicions, but for someone with the ashen-like energy in their soul, this person was definitely not the innocent victim he claimed to be.

"What the heck? Do you think I’m a bad guy just because you say so?!" The red-haired guy raised his voice, irritated by the young lady’s baseless accusation.

"Please excuse us." Two heavenly servants immediately made their moves, knocked the suspect to the ground, and sealed his cultivation.

"What is the meaning of this?! Do you want to make me a scapegoat? The Silver Peacock Group won’t just let this go!" The red-haired guy exclaimed with injustice.

"We shall see the truth right away. I’ll apologize if you’re proven innocent." Magnus spoke in a solemn expression. He put his hand on the red-haired guy’s head and used his mystic technique to force the target to spill any questions asked under high-level hypnosis.

"Did you help those bastards, the Ashen Eye Organization to infiltrate the Libra Tower? What did you gain from this incident?" Magnus asked straight to the point.

"Yes, it was an easy task. They promised me promotion assistance. I can also take advantage of the chaos to eliminate my blood competitor, the Sapphire Crow Group’s right-hand man, Ren Qigang."

"How could they infiltrate Libra Tower and take control of the entire building so quickly?"

"I left a teleportation array on each floor, and their innate ability to seal the space around them did their part to smoothly take control."

Magnus continued with a few more questions, then left the rest for his people to handle. Some merchants also raised some questions, but they beat the red-haired guy to a pulp.

The red-haired guy wouldn’t be killed because the furious merchants would storm the Silver Peacock Group to demand compensation.

"My lady, two merchants are missing from the hall, but they were here this morning. Also, the Sapphire Crow Group’s representative, Ren Qigang, died. His body is found in the corridor." Mytia returned with a detailed report regarding the two missing people and the death of one invited merchant.

Miko checked the report briefly and returned it to Mytia. "Heavenly Palace will help you with this."

She then clasped her hands and announced it with a hint of sorrow. "Esteemed merchants, the representatives of the Mellow Pagoda and the Bouncy Peach Group fell as suspects for this incident. Counting this guy, we got the traitor insiders for this incident. If the investigation proves the other two guilty, severe punishment shall await them. Are you willing to help us out to uphold justice?"

"Those bastards! My group will help to destroy them with everything we have!"

"We should beat them into swollen pigs, then storm their merchant groups."

"If they can’t provide us with satisfactory explanations and compensation, they are no longer required to exist."

"The Silver Peacock, then the Mellow Pagoda, and the Bouncy Peach Group, huh... The three mid-tier merchant groups will probably disappear before tomorrow."

The furious merchants expressed their responses varied, but the essence was similar. They had to make the traitors suffer and pay the price.

Magnus released his spell and threw the red-haired guy at his men, but he still felt unsettled. "Then, what will we do with their backup force? Also, may this humble one ask... where did you send the Ashen Eye’s leader and two great elders? Were they killed or just sent away?"

"Dozens of people died because of them, and the backup force doesn’t know about our ambush yet. Isn’t the answer obvious? We shall destroy them." Miko raised her fist, and it gained everyone’s agreement as they also wished to participate to pay back the humiliation from the ambush. She then added. "Ah, Heavenly Agents helped us to capture those big, bad guys. They’re in Agent Amy’s hands now."

"Understood. Then, Mystic Stellar will lead the frontal assault to destroy them and the backup force." Magnus nodded in understanding. He had to do something big to redeem himself and save his face.

A moment later, the heavenly servants went with Mystic Stellar’s combined force to invade Ashen Eye’s backup force. They left no one behind. Those who resisted were killed on the spot, and those who surrendered were captured to be punished by Mystic Stellar’s law. As for the backup force’s treasures, everything was looted clean.

"Three great flying pirate ships with more than nine hundred men got destroyed in less than half an hour. They are beyond furious..." Yae couldn’t help but comment in amazement.

"Then, can our transaction still continue? Should we postpone or cancel it?" Morfina was concerned because all invited merchants suffered some losses and were not in a position to fulfill their requests.

"Hm, we can only leave a notice to them. As long as they can fulfill our demands, we shall buy all of their stocks. Heavenly servants shall do it for us. I do believe those merchants won’t dare to scam them, but our fun time is ruined because of those thieves..." Miko muttered with a sigh.

She then turned around to face the girls. "Sorry, everyone. Morfina, Yae, you even put aside your schedule to help us out even when you were busy in the mortal world."

"No, no, Miko. It’s not your fault. We never expected this incident to happen either. We’re honored to serve and help you out." Morfina noticed Miko was depressed and hurriedly explained it. She didn’t know whether it was Miko’s or Elysia’s response, but her answer would remain the same.

"I’m sorry, Yuuki. I also dragged you as bait. It must have scared you." Miko felt a bit guilty when she thought about it.

"No, master. They never scared me. That was the best method to lower their guard, and we managed to take the threats down smoothly thanks to it as well." Yuuki shook her head.

"But, the fox race is also oppressed even in the Divine World, huh... the Ashen Eye will not exist anymore. Mystic Stellar Sacred Ground and Merchant Association will storm the forces affiliated with this evil organization." Miko couldn’t help but lament it.

"..." The girls remained silent, but Vanessa stepped forward and hugged Miko. "It’s not our responsibility, but if we encounter the evil, we shall free the foxes and eliminate the bad guys."

"Mm, thank you, Vann. We should go to Sister Megami’s group for our field trip now. Mama will join us soon." Miko buried her face in Vanessa’s arms.

The six heavenly servants returned to Miko’s side, and one of them came forward to report. "My lady, we’ve handled those thieves and handed them over to Mystic Stellar and the Merchant Association. What are your instructions?"

"Err?" Mytia also returned to Miko’s side. She didn’t know what happened, but she knew Miko’s mood was ruined because of this incident.

"I don’t think we can continue the event. The transaction will be handled by the heavenly servants. Can you be our proxy for that, Mytia?" Miko released Vanessa and faced Mytia with a cool mind.

"This... alright, I shall ensure everything you need is available next week, my lady. Please forgive my incompetence. Everything happened because of my negligence." Mytia bit her lower lips and bowed in apology.

"You don’t need to apologize. Please send our regards to the others." Miko raised her hand and tapped Mytia’s shoulder. After that, she and her group vanished from the scene, teleporting to Megami’s side on the Divine World’s 5th layer.

"I messed it up and Her Grace’s impression of me might fade. These thieves! I should burn them all to the roots! The Ashen Eye and all those who caused this incident must perish today." Mytia gritted her teeth as she felt annoyed with herself and those thieves.

---

"Oh my~ You’re so screwed, hmm... what should we do? My lovely Miko is sad because of you." Elysia tapped her chin as if she was having trouble with something.

"Hmngh!" The three half-naked men screamed their lungs out as they wanted to say something, but their mouths were sealed because nobody wanted to hear them out.

It was supposedly a smooth-sailing robbery. They would kidnap the Mystic Stellar Saintess to make Mystic Stellar Sacred Ground suffer, but who would have thought that the Heavenly Palace also lay a trap for them to take the bait. Twelve Heavenly Agents and Unknown Goddesses all awaited to incapacitate them, and then they got their cultivation sealed. They were also stripped almost completely. Apart from a piece of underwear, everything had been taken.

"Should we just kill them, my lady? We already have all the information we need to eliminate their pest kindred." Amy cracked open the abyssal void of darkness, ready to shred the captured demonic humans.

"Is the only outcome for them the death penalty?" Lifa asked to ensure something.

"These pests are so cunning and hard to catch. Whatever the decision, we can’t allow them to live." Amy nodded in response.

"Hmm~ Since their outcome has already been determined, how about hearing my idea out? It would be a bit noble for them to end their journey. At least, they could leave as fallen heroes." Elysia faintly smiled and looked at the captured thieves.

"!!!" The three thieves shuddered in fear just because of the ladies’ stares. They had no idea who this seemingly weak purplish-blue-eyed lady was, but this lady was the one who stood out the most and was revered by all Heavenly Agents. It terrified them to imagine their fate. Death might be a luxury since they fell into the Heavenly Palace’s hands.

"Please elaborate." Amy initially would disagree, but she knew Elysia had something interesting planned out.

Elysia closed her eyes and shared the details via telepathy to her Goddess sisters and twelve Heavenly Agents.

"Wow, Ely. I didn’t know you could be so savage, but I like it. Let’s do that." Elena gave a thumbs up.

"This, I can’t even disagree. If it’s possible, we should do that to other big criminals as well." Amy didn’t even need to consider it. She and her fellow Heavenly Agents agreed on the spot.
