Chapter 541: Pathfinder to the Numinous Treasure
Chapter 541: Pathfinder to the Numinous Treasure
Elysia led her family to embark on an adventurous field trip to the Heliocentric Dungeon. This realm contained myriad secret realms, known as the Realm of Myriad Possibilities. It was a place where fortune and peril walked hand in hand.
This enigmatic realm was created by the Lord of Heaven himself tens of thousands of years ago from the secret realms of the fallen that scattered all over the heavens. It was a place where one could soar alongside dragons and phoenixes, but also risk falling into an abyss of no return.
As they crossed the threshold into the Realm of Myriad Possibilities, the Elysium Family were greeted by a breathtaking panorama. Majestic mountains floated in the sky shrouded in golden mist, crystal-clear rivers meandered through lush, emerald forests, and many more.
Ethereal creatures, such as luminescent butterflies and shimmering birds, roamed freely, adding to the surreal beauty of the land. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flowers and resonated with the soft hum of ancient magic.
The Elysium Family, consisting of the Goddesses and saintesses, each radiating divine grace and power, moved through the realm with a mix of excitement and caution. Their eyes sparkled with anticipation as they ventured deeper, seeking fortuitous encounters and hidden treasures.
"I still can’t believe to see the Heliocentric Dungeon is completely unguarded. It allowed anyone to enter this realm at any time." Nell looked at the scenery beyond the space bus window, appreciating the vast realm’s beauty, but she was still wondering about the future possibilities.
They would encounter many parties on this trip for sure, and some of those people might be immortal cultivators, heaven-defying geniuses, holy sons, or sacred saintesses from some prominent background.
But... for a realm that possessed myriad possibilities, countless treasures, ancient legacies, and inheritances, He-Dao left it with a free entry pass!
"Heavenly Palace still monitoring this dungeon realm." Rhea looked around, but she couldn’t see any third party.
"This realm has countless other secret realms in it. Even though it is free to pass entry, some of the secret realms here are only open during certain periods such as once a year, once a decade, once a century, or even once a millennium." Elysia browsed some information through her Sacred Heaven Grimoire.
"Fortuna, be sure to drive the bus properly. You are the captain of this trip, so use your luck to the maximum~" Elena waved her hand at the driver. She then leaned comfortably in her seat, hugged Elysia’s arm, and read the information in the grimoire together.
"I know..." Fortuna wiped her sweat. Driving this bus was relatively difficult, but she started to get used to it after driving for a while.
Several minutes ago, everyone appointed her as the pathfinder. Thus, she had to rely heavily on her luck and divination to find the numinous treasures, including the core module to construct her prospective private world.
"..." Xentia stared at Fortuna from the co-pilot seat. She should be the one who would become the pathfinder, but nobody could beat Fortuna’s luck and fate value, so she had to give the helm to the lady of fortune.
[Fortuna (FV: 29,316) | Goddess of Fate and Fortune | 12th Rank]
[Talent: 7 Stars | Heavenly(1)]
[Luck: 9110 | Fate: 7177]
Elysia closed her eyes and checked Fortuna’s status screen via their soul bond. As the Goddess of Fate and Fortune, Fortuna possessed a luck value that even exceeded that of the Lord of Heaven. Even though it got self-buffed, it was still the highest luck value she had ever seen.
Fortuna stopped the space bus for a moment and took out a mouse-shaped divine artifact.
[13]
A number popped out above the mouse-shaped artifact, and Fortuna aimed it in another direction. She started looking for the proper path with the highest value.
"What are you doing? What is that thing?" Xentia was intrigued. Her premonition seemed to tell her that the metal mouse was actually a treasure-hunting artifact, but she didn’t know how it worked.
"This is the Treasure Hunting Mouse, my exclusive helper tool. Only those with luck-type divinity can use this. Look, this direction has a score of 98. This direction will lead us to our first numinous treasure." Fortuna pointed in a direction and drove the spacebus to fly in that direction.
A few moments later, Gaia tapped Fortuna’s shoulder from behind as she noticed the oddities ahead. "Wait, a group of people are guarding this land. Some will try to block us, and they don’t look friendly."
"Enemies? Should we get rid of them?" Sylvia was excited for action. The family field trip was nice, but she couldn’t wait to test her new ascended divine power.
"Mm, but let’s ask them first." Fortuna shrugged her shoulders, not at all afraid of anything because she had the Elysium Family on her back.
As the space bus approached, the man in green armor flew up with his spear channeled to the side. Another armored man hovered behind him, observing with a grim expression.
"Leave this to me. My premonition tells me they are thugs." Sylvia clasped her fist and stretched her fingers with a wide grin.
She stepped out of the space bus, hovering right next to the door with an arrogant attitude. "Who are you to dare stop us in our tracks?"
"Just a little girl and your little friends?"
"Hey, sheltered girlie. I can see you are such a refined devilish beauty, but lack of experience and manners."
The two green armored men looked at each other, feeling somewhat relieved, and immediately put on an arrogant stance.
"So, what do you want to say? If you waste any more of my time, don’t blame me for being merciless." Sylvia summoned her divine spear and aimed it at the opponents.
"This is our farming ground, reserved for the Green Python Sect. If you want to pass this region, you need to pay a passing fee."
"Passing fee? The myriad of secret realms in this dungeon realm belong to the Heavenly Palace. Do you want to claim ownership? How ridiculous."
"Watch your fcking mouth, wench. Don’t think that just because you’re a beautiful woman we won’t dare to punch you in the face. Hand over all the treasures you looted from this region right now."
"Huh? We just got here and haven’t touched anything yet."
"That’s not for you to decide. We will know once we capture you and search your carriage."
"That’s if you can get past me, losers."
"Let’s see if you can still be cocky once we capture and strip you naked."
The green-armored men and Sylvia had an argument. Unfortunately, it ended in a dispute because the thugs became so arrogant after finding out the devilish beauty before them was still at the 11th Rank, a whole realm beneath them, and nobody exuded a dangerous threat from that long metal carriage.
Meanwhile, Sylvia, deliberately taunted the opponents so they would make their first move to attack. That way, she could justifiably strike back in the name of self-defense.
*Boom!*
The clash between the 12th Rank immortal cultivators and the 11th Rank high devil caused a tremendous blast that pushed the spacebus to retreat several tens of meters.
"Yo, jackass. Why are you playing around in front of that little girl? Just beat her and we can loot her things. Make sure not to hurt her too much, especially her face and assets." The other green-armored man called out with a bored tone.
"Els Demoness third move, demonic charm!" Sylvia parried the opponent’s weapon with her divine spear. She grinned and stared deep into the man’s eyes.
"Ack!" The man was taken aback. He couldn’t prevent the soul attack that ambushed his consciousness.
He tried to repel the invader, but the girl’s invasive force was far greater than his own soul force. After losing the struggle, he fell to the ground like a broken doll.
"Heehee~" Sylvia was pleased by her new technique. She named it after her master’s name. Since she became Elysia’s blood servant, their soul bond empowered her soul force massively, making it possible for her to inflict soul attacks to effectively harm even those in the rank above her.
"What the-" The other guy gasped in shock.
Unfortunately, Sylvia quickly covered the distance to target the enemy’s neck.
*Clang*
The sharp spear was stopped by a dagger. The man broke out in cold sweat after noticing the demoness exuded a blood aura and thick killing intent, yet the black flames immediately enveloped him.
He hastily pushed the insane demoness away with a blast, but he soon realized a tingling yet stinging sensation in his arm and shoulder. "I’m bleeding? When? I blocked it."
"Don’t underestimate me just because my cultivation rank is lower than you. My foundation has been refined countless times, assisted by my beloved master. Even if there are a hundred of you to bully me, the one to suffer will always be you. Too bad you are weak despite a rank higher than mine. I can’t unleash my full potential and test my new techniques properly." Sylvia sighed as if she was troubled by it.
"Sylvi, be done with it. His intention is clear, and we’re not a pushover either." Elysia reminded Sylvia with a calm tone. The thug’s fate was placed in Sylvia’s hands, and Sylvia was free to decide it.
"Ah, you’re right, master. If we were weaker, we can’t imagine what they would do to us. Don’t blame me, sir. You called the disaster upon yourself." Sylvia bowed like a good servant toward the space bus.
"Se-senior! Please leave a mercy! I never have the intention to offend-" The man tried to beg for mercy, but his body began to swell like a balloon.
*Splat*
Sylvia snapped her finger, exploding her invading blood qi in the enemy’s body like a firework, the blooming flower of blood.
"Hehe~ It’s good. I killed two 12th Rank, rogue immortal cultivators." Sylvia made a victory pose gesture.
"Who is Els Demoness?" Xentia tilted her head, feeling curious.
"That’s me, my new divine technique. It’s Els Demoness from Ely’s demoness. It’s cool, right?" Sylvia returned to the space bus, announcing that while pointing to her face with a proud expression.
"Hurry in. They’re from the Green Python Gang or something. The other thugs are rushing over here. We don’t have time to waste here." Yuuki pushed Sylvia to enter the space bus and closed the door.
"We’re never afraid of trouble. We could just wipe them out, but well... I guess you’re right. We can’t waste our time with those insignificant weaklings." Sylvia obediently returned to her seat.
Fortuna then drove the spacebus to leave the area at full speed, leaving the furious thugs behind.
