My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 543: Betrayal for Regicide

Chapter 543: Betrayal for Regicide

Elysium Family embarked on an exploration into various secret realms, a journey driven by a desire to broaden their horizons, gain new experiences, and hone their abilities to higher levels. The realm they entered was a place of legend awaited by countless geniuses and prominent figures across the vast Divine World.

Their next destination was a secret world that would only open once every century. They accidentally discovered it while passing by.

As they ventured deeper into the realm, they marveled at the sights around them. Vast landscapes of rolling hills, dense mystical forests, and crystalline lakes stretched before them. The sky above was a tapestry of swirling colors, constantly shifting.

"We came late, and this secret realm will be closed the day after tomorrow. Feel free to explore this realm and return in eight hours. We shall wait here to ensure your safety." Elysia checked her grimoire. She encouraged her people to venture in teams.

The girls split into several teams to explore the secret realm. Because this place was the most sought-after treasure trove at the current moment, it obviously possessed many good stuff. Therefore, they would go out to grab something nice to take home.

Their quest for numinous treasures soon brought them face-to-face with powerful warriors from across the Divine World, each drawn to the realm by the same promises of power and enlightenment.

The encounters would never be peaceful. The competition for the realm’s treasures was fierce, and clashes were inevitable.

Sylvia led her team with confidence. Yuuki, Luna, and Yusagi followed closely, sharing the same excitement. They moved with purpose, knowing that the realm held both great rewards and formidable challenges.

And, sure enough, Sylvia’s team found themselves in a battle for treasure.

Their first encounter took place in a valley surrounded by towering cliffs, where many groups stumbled upon a hidden cache of ancient artifacts. As they approached, many formidable warrior groups stared at them, gleaming with intimidation and the hunger for power. The tension was palpable as other groups sized each other up.

"Leave if you don’t want to be buried here. This ancient ruin will be dominated by the Huanmen Flame Palace."

"Since when is this valley owned by your sect? So arrogant."

"The myriad of secret realms in the Heliocentric belong to no one. Only those with great talent and capability can seize the treasures here."

"If you have the power, then try to obtain the relics and artifacts with your own power. We’ll see who is the most worthy."

Warriors from various backgrounds uttered taunting words to the others, but none of them dared to make their first move because the path to the ancient ruin below was almost open. They would go all out to eliminate the other competitors, but it was just not the time to clash.

"Bunch of arrogant people..." Sylvia clasped her fist, ready to beat them up to test her new divine power. Those people looked strong, probably the holy sons and daughters of their respective backgrounds. If something went wrong, she could always retreat to her master’s side.

"Step back and observe them first." Luna beckoned to Yuuki and Sylvia to step back.

"..." Yuuki nodded and adjusted her weimao, the wide-brimmed hat with a hanging shoulder-length veil to disguise her identity as the nine-tailed celestial fox. She also hid her fluffy tails to avoid any unwanted attention.

Similar to Yuuki, Luna also wore a weimao to avoid unwanted attention, considering the previous incident. That thief villain wanted to enslave Yuuki just because of their fox race, and the others might harbor a similar intention here.

Their role on this team was mainly to become the reins for the newly ascended Sylvia. With Yuuki and Luna around, they could provide a better plan and hunting route, and also prevent Sylvia from doing as she pleased. As for Yusagi, a reliable assistant was always needed in all situations.

"Hm." Sylvia nodded. She shouldn’t be arrogant because she just recently ascended and couldn’t handle dozens of immortal cultivators at once.

"You better don’t snatch anything that catches my eye, or I don’t mind killing you all." The young master nearby warned the newly arrived group with suffocating intimidation.

"..." Sylvia knew that warning was aimed at her group. She sighed and stepped back for the time being. Once the ancient ruin’s entrance opened, she would beat those arrogant people one by one for sure.

A few moments later, the gate opened and everyone rushed in at full speed. Some unleashed their traps and techniques to throw and prevent the others from going ahead of them.

Once the dust from the entrance clash was settled, Luna nodded at Sylvia and Yuuki. She held Yusagi’s hand then her team flew into the unknown ancient ruin below.

"The hunt starts now~" Sylvia grinned like a villain, ready to beat anyone who blocked her way.

---

On the other side of the secret realm, Elysia waited close to the exit portal to ensure everyone’s safe retreat. She held an afternoon tea party with her Goddess sisters while monitoring the changes and turmoil that occurred in that secret realm.

The heavenly servants poured the tea for Elysia and Elysium Goddesses.

"Tell me about this secret realm." Elysia asked.

The chief servant answered. "This secret realm is called Forged Mirage Secret Realm, and it’s famous for its hidden treasures and resources, but everywhere is shrouded in high-level illusions and trap formations."

Elena received her tea and took a sip with elegance. She then asked. "What about its original owner?"

"Based on the records, Forged Mirage Secret Realm falls under the second-rate category with code number 674th, and its original owner is a 16th Rank God Lord, the God of Conquest." The chief servant checked her book and answered confidently.

"Hmm~ so the second-rate secret realm in the Heliocentric Dungeon opens once every century, and the first-rate once every millennium." Elysia rested her cheek on her palm, glanced at her Goddess sisters, and then her gaze fell on her shadow.

Zera went to look for some numinous treasures and hunt the divine providences alone, but Ai was reluctant to venture anywhere.

"Well, we came pretty late. Let’s leave it to our saintesses to seek their opportunity and gain new experiences. Sylvia has started to beat the people who annoyed her now." Rhea covered her mouth, chuckling lightly.

"Hmm~" Elysia nodded in understanding. She pulled Ai out of her shadow and put her twin sister in the seat next to her.

Erina, Mio, and Vanessa dug the ground with magic around the nearby cave, mining some shining minerals and precious stones like professionals. They even had to ask for Gio’s favor to help them out.

Yet, a high-level clash suddenly broke out in the distant sky.

*Boom!*

Elysia and her sisters were a little surprised. They turned their gazes toward the clash in the distant sky reflexively.

The sky in the north suddenly became a battlefield, a vast expanse of roiling clouds and crackling energy as high-level Gods clashed in a cataclysmic struggle. Blinding flashes of light erupted with each collision of divine power, illuminating the sky in a chaotic dance of destruction.

Elemental forces swirled and collided, creating a maelstrom of fire, ice, and lightning that painted the sky in vivid, apocalyptic hues.

Amidst this turmoil, the Gods emerged in their titanic figures made from divine energy. Their forms radiated an aura of unbridled might. Each clash sent shockwaves rippling through the sky, distorting the clouds into surreal, shifting patterns.

As the battle reached its zenith when the two opposing forces unleashed their finisher moves. The sky seemed on the verge of shattering. Both parties soon retreated and faced each other in the sky after their colossal divine manifestation shattered, but they were still ready to unleash another move with greater intensity with more allies on their respective side.

"Oh, more ant warriors are coming together. You bunch of ants dare to fight me?" The Lord of Dark Lightning looked down at the people before him with contempt.

"Watch out! He’s coming!" One of the newly arrived top combatants shouted out to warn the others.

Unfortunately, the Lord of Dark Lightning couldn’t be stopped by anyone below 15th Rank. He slaughtered four Earth Immortals and Heavenly Gods in an instant.

"Lunatic!" The Immortal Lord who clashed with the Lord of Dark Lightning previously twitched in sorrow as he witnessed his people die before his sight. They couldn’t even withstand one of the enemy’s moves. However, he had to recover a bit and waited for his comrades to arrive first.

"Lord of Dark Lightning! We won’t spare you!"

"Ho?"

Someone shouted out from above, and the Lord of Dark Lightning looked up with wonder. Six Immortal Lords with bright purple auras descended and gathered with the injured Immortal Lord.

"Haha, you are finally gathered here, Purple Mountain’s seven Great Lords!" The Lord of Dark Lightning grinned widely and soared high into the sky to face the opponents. His prime disciple and great elder hovered behind him, ready for a follow-up confrontation.

"The Lord of Dark Lightning, Zhao Yuhan. Quickly hand over the Nine Heavenly Secrets Scroll and your life will be spared." One of the Purple Mountain’s seven Great Lords spoke in a calm tone.

"Ha ha ha! The seven Lords of the Purple Mountain! Even if you are together, you won’t be able to defeat me. Why should you bother seeking death?" The Lord of Dark Lightning spread his arms wide, challenging the enemies with laughter.

"Do you know your situation? Now you are the enemy of the entire righteous path. Do you think there is no one stronger than you?" The Third Lord of the Purple Mountain sighed.

"Zhao Yuhan, that scroll is a relic of our Ancient Lord. On behalf of Purple Mountain, I ask you to obediently return it to us." The First Lord of the Purple Mountain demanded with an authoritative tone.

"Master, this is not good. The First Lord of the Purple Mountain has already exuded his sword intent. We’ll die at this rate. Even if we manage to escape, we will be actively hunted by all the righteous paths." The Lord of Dark Lightning’s prime disciple trembled at the pressure.

"Enemies of the entire righteous path?" Zhao Yuhan muttered softly, but he was soon snapped. "Even being the villain, the enemy of the world, I will destroy you a-"

*Stab*

Zhao Yuhan had yet to finish his speech, but a cursed sword suddenly pierced his chest, perforating his heart from behind. He looked down in disbelief, but another sword instantly penetrated his second heart.

"I’m sorry, my Lord. I can’t defy young master’s order as my life has been bestowed upon him by you." The great elder lamented and retreated.

"..." The Purple Mountain’s seven Great Lords remained silent, watching the unexpected scene unfold.

"Master, please surrender. It’s time for you to die." The prime disciple closed his eyes with a smirk.

"Zhao Chen?! So, the traitor is you!" Zhao Yuhan looked back in great fury. "I’ve raised you since childhood. Taught you like my own child. Why did you betray me?"

"Master, even though you are my master and foster father, you shouldn’t use the Nine Heavenly Secrets Scroll just for yourself. You don’t even allow me to see or touch it."

"You betrayed me just for that reason?!"

"This cursed blade is imbued with a potent cursed power to seal your cultivation and recovery. Now that both of your hearts are damaged, you won’t be able to escape this predicament. After your fall, I shall continue your reign and legacy like a good son." Zhao Chen embraced the fact that he betrayed his master. He pulled out the two cursed swords and kicked his master toward the Purple Mountain’s Great Lords.
