Chapter 563: Which One is Better?
Chapter 563: Which One is Better?
Elysia explained a bit about the crux of the matter regarding the Demon King of Extreme Evil’s domain to Rhykdohr. The hero expedition team would require combat power equivalent to four 10th Rank powerhouses to subdue such a great evil.
It was only for dealing with the Demon King. As for the other sealed demons, it would be a different matter. There was also a possibility that the Demon King of Extreme Evil might be a reincarnation of the Heavenly Demon.
"I see... so you think this hero generation is bound to fail as well... It has been more than four hundred years since that thing was sealed by a passing Ancient God. If it weren’t for the mortal world’s restrictions, we would have dealt with that threat long ago." Rhykdohr nodded in understanding.
He then raised his head, looking at the sky. "But, you missed the important variables. The summoned heroes were blessed by the power of the otherworld and us, the Council of Gods. Also, weren’t you going to dispatch your people for this expedition?"
"I fully understand their blessing, especially your favored boy over there. Your heroes need at least two more secret backers to watch their backs. The Elysion Church shall dispatch a Deity and an Annihilator Squad, and I want you to send an additional combat power that can match my team." Elysia tapped the table, emphasizing her point.
"Hmm, alright. I shall listen to your advice on this. Since I shall dispatch more combat power, then that means my turf is unguarded. Can you take responsibility if the enemy invades while my powerful followers are absent?" Rhykdohr put his arm on the table, leaning forward with a cunning smirk as he wished to pull the Heavenly Palace’s affiliate for his turf’s benefit.
"The Demon King’s subjugation mission won’t take that long. It’s not months or even years like the past. It will only take three weeks at most. Unless your turf was intentionally left unguarded or is too weak to withstand the wind, I don’t think it will collapse that easily." Elysia shook her head.
"Why are you so sure? Will you lend a hand for this? That Demon King is such a hidden bomb." Rhykdohr was pleased by the confidence in Lady Kitsune’s words.
"I shouldn’t intervene. My people specially trained to eradicate the great evil." Elysia looked at her disciples with pride and confidence.
"They’re your heroes, huh..." Rhykdohr looked at the arena, the representatives of the Elysion Church, especially the dark-clothed ones.
All of them could rival the 8th Rank power despite still being at 6th Rank, similar to his summoned heroes. Both parties also received the divine blessing, so the struggle in tomorrow’s competition was obviously going to be very challenging and entertaining.
Rhykdohr faintly smiled then looked at the Elysion Church’s quarter. Yet, he was flabbergasted as he could faintly sense the aura of the demon. It was faint and pretty weird, but he could tell it was a demon with charm ability, or probably the demonic human!
The suspicious aura came from the pink-haired girl with an extremely seductive, beautiful appearance. It was as if her presence was too beautiful for the mortal world, created and sculpted with the body to arouse sins.
"Is that pink-haired minx your people as well? Do you realize that she is a demon?" Rhykdohr felt suspicious, feeling that the seductress was probably a demon spy in disguise.
"Yes, she is. But, you’ve no worry as those who received my blessing are all good, obedient children. We do not discriminate against the different races. Even demons deserve to find salvation." Elysia looked at Jophiel. Her favorite disciple was exposed under the Glorious God’s eyes, but she wished no conflict here.
"Your church is pretty weird. I don’t want to imagine the demi-humans and even demons as the priests, but it might be the game changer for this world." Rhykdohr sighed. He felt it was pretty disturbing, but he chose to take no action that might offend the other party.
"You are quite broad-minded and wise. I feel relieved." Elysia sighed in relief. She was glad that Rhykdohr was reasonable and wise, unlike Nieyr.
"We also have our temple, shrine, cult, and many other variations. Just you know, the other two mortal worlds are already graced by the Supreme Goddess’ grace." Vanessa nodded proudly.
"Uh-huh?" Rhykdohr was taken aback. There were too many variations, but he chose not to think about it.
"If you truly wish to descend to resolve the matter and ensure your roots in the mortal world are safe, you can also choose to descend with your true body, serving as the required secret backer during the hero expedition." Elysia put the matter forward. It would be good to pull the Righteous God to suppress the great evil in the mortal world.
"Hm, I can’t even if I want to, my lady. The Lord of Heaven has already cut off all access to descend to the lower realm. No loophole. If it weren’t for my mortal roots and the soul fragment that had been here for thousands of years, I wouldn’t have been able to reach this mortal world. Or maybe, do you already have a way?" Rhykdohr scratched his head.
"Yes, meet me at the Heavenly Palace in three days. Tell the heavenly servant that you wish to see Sacred Sakura Goddess, and someone will lead you to me." Elysia smiled in reply. The matter was resolved, and she received a new ally.
"Alright then." Rhykdohr enjoyed the tea, watched the Martial Arts Competition, and used the opportunity to exchange thoughts and insights with the mysterious nine-tailed shadow fox lady.
However, the time waited for no one. The time for Elysia to return to Sacred Sakura was already drawn close.
Elysia offered a box of purple serenitea to her guest as a parting gift. "Please pardon us for being direct, but it’s almost time for us to leave, Lord Rhykdohr. Please receive a little gift from us. I hope you may enjoy it."
"Alright, I shall receive it. Will you return to watch the main event tomorrow and the day after?" Rhykdohr received the tea box.
"We shall look at our schedule, but we will definitely be there to watch how my heroes test your heroes. Fret not as they won’t try to win the battle nor beat your people severely."
"So confident and carefree. I feel like you are really not a foxkin, let alone the nine-tailed fox. But, I still feel curious about why you use this kind of appearance to appear in this world? You shall invite nothing but trouble and be targeted by countless monsters and demons."
"That’s what we will achieve soon. We shall cause trouble and wreak the world in chaos, especially to those who deserve to be punished. I should bring my sisters tomorrow and the chaos will begin, fufu~ See you again, Lord Rhykdohr."
"What the-hey, wait. What do you mean by that?"
Rhykdohr was shocked. He tried to inquire more from Lady Kitsune, but she already left the vicinity with the white tiger girl with a poof and vanished into thin air. The table and chairs also began to dematerialize, and he was forced to stand.
"What exactly does she want to achieve? Really, why can’t I even understand a thing about her? It’s as if she is just playing around." Rhykdohr put his hands to his head, feeling a bit frustrated. Even with tens of thousands of years of life experience, he was still unable to understand this lady.
After a few moments of thought, he could only sigh. He looked at a box of tea in his hand. It was such a simple yet meaningful gift. No pleasantries or fancy things, just a token of goodwill. The tea was also good, but he then gasped when he realized the gift was given to him, but the one who would enjoy it would be Galashiels!
"Damn, Gala! Hm?" Rhykdohr condemned such a fact, but he then noticed a paper slipped into the box’s lid. He pulled it out and a warning note was written on it.
[ Please take care of my Elysion Church. Never let anyone bully my people as you know our good intentions. Thank you ^_^ ]
"Well, what can I do? Even the foolish know that it might be a disaster to offend the Elysion Church now. You even assign a Deity here." Rhykdohr kept the paper slip and looked at the arena.
Many young geniuses were defeated one after another yet the Elysion Church’s representatives remained intact. So, the answer was obvious. He only had to ensure his people to help the Elysion Church when necessary and try not to offend the Elysion Church.

’Jophi-chan, mama sent you the lunch boxes for everyone. They’re in your storage pouch now. We shall return home for now and shall be back to watch tomorrow’s event. Please behave well and don’t cause trouble for those people anymore, at least for now. The Glorious God is somewhat dissatisfied and will monitor you.’ Elysia spoke via telepathy, placing the said lunch boxes using the space law.
’Eh-ah?’ Jophiel looked back, and her master was already no longer there to watch the event. ’Mama, is Jophi doing a good job?’
’Yes, you did it good, and that’s enough for now. You’ve drawn too much attention. Those boys have signed up for the hero expedition team too, leaving their elders frustrated, fufu~’ Elysia chuckled in amusement.
’Mm! Please have a safe return journey, mama! We shall await your arrival tomorrow.’ Jophiel was pleased and satisfied with her part.
She then dismissed any outsiders from the Elysion Church’s quarter with a wave of her hand. Seeing the gesture, Daemyx chased away those who still insisted on pursuing their beautiful priestess.
Once it was afternoon break, Jophiel led her group to leave the VIP area right away. It was lunchtime with her fellow disciples.
