Chapter 564: Is It Alien?
Chapter 564: Is It Alien?
After a heartful dinner, Elysia and the girls gathered around the bonfire. Their faces lighted with smiles and laughter as they shared stories, recounting each adventure, mishap, and triumph.
"Aah~ time flies so fast." Vanessa leaned her body to the table after taking the last sip of her white wine, slightly tipsy while reminiscencing the wonderful memories she experienced last night in the Chthonic World. It was a marvelous and romantic journey through the night with her beloved master.
"Ely, why do we have no wonderful, romantic journey during my turn?" Sylvia expressed her grievance. She felt a little jealous of the adventure stories and night trips that Vanessa experienced with Elysia.
"I wonder why... but, did you not enjoy the moment with me the other day?" Elysia feigned her sad expression.
"No, no, please don’t be sad, master... I didn’t mean to say that. It was super enjoyable. You pampered me a lot. Ah, yeah, we can still go for a field trip, a date, another time." Sylvia knelt down in front of Elysia and put her head on Elysia’s thighs, looking up with an adorable expression.
"Hmm, yeah, we can still do it sometime in the future." Elysia responded by giving Sylvia a head pat.
"Yuuki, your destination for tomorrow’s trip is the forbidden region of the extreme north, yes? Please take a look at this recording. We managed to catch something interesting." Xentia showed her tablet to Yuuki, playing a recording caught by her satellite.
"Hm?" Yuuki leaned her body to the side curiously.
It was a recording from the satellite, showing a snowy plain and mountains. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary there, and it wasn’t even the forbidden region because it had no area disturbance. Yet, Xentia zoomed in and marked a particular area, and then switched to the other recording from the spy unit that was sent to investigate the area.
The spy unit approached that place, emitting no noise or aura. It was just like a block of transparent ice, jumping around the snow, and it managed to record an oddly shaped protruding mountain-like metal covered by ice and snow. At that moment, a human-like robed monster emerged out of nowhere, crushing the spy unit with both hands.
Xentia rewinded the recording and paused at the human-like monster’s face before he crushed the spy unit.
"It’s alien." Lyla rubbed her chin, commenting thoughtfully.
"Yes. The alien from an unknown intergalactic civilization. This buried metal is most likely a spaceship, and it may have been there for a long time, covered by a particular disguise and jammer. Their system might have malfunctioned, but we managed to discover it today. Or another possibility, it just recently crashed into this planet when we were away." Xentia expressed her conjecture.
It was the most plausible reason why she only discovered it today. After all, ES Nirvana was absent for two weeks when they visited Earth and Vrelenia.
"So, should we check it out?" Elysia looked at the tablet, leaning forward to take a closer look at the recording. Unfortunately, the record was pretty blurry and they could identify nothing.
She knew Xentia was so passionate to discover more about what the vast universe might hold for them. The great curiosity sparked from the thrill of mysteries, the unknown civilizations, and the intergalactic alien’s technology.
Since another subject from the unknown civilization entered their radar, then Xentia would be eager to check it out.
"Mm, we should check the truth and dig into a little detail using the Sacred Heaven Grimoire." Elena came up with a suggestion as she knew Xentia would obviously dispatch more force or even personally go to that place. It was best for them to dig some information before anything else.
The girls looked at each other and nodded at that. Xentia also felt that was the most plausible action as she didn’t wish to cause any incident in this tranquil time.
Elysia then opened her Sacred Heaven Grimoire to seek the answer to the question. Apparently, the said protruding metal was indeed the foreign spaceship that could accommodate thousands of people, yet it wasn’t owned by the aliens, but the cooperation of nine hidden clans in the Caelum World thousands of years ago.
"The Nine Dragons..." Elysia muttered softly, mentioning the organization that consisted of nine hidden clans.
"???" Xentia began to imagine the alien race with nine dragon heads.
Elysia then elaborated on the discovery. Since no information below the heavenly-tier secret could be hidden from the Sacred Heaven Grimoire, it was most likely the truth, and the ugly human-like robed monster was actually a person, or more precisely, the guard disguised as a terrifying monster to protect that place.
"So, it was made by the locals... Master, please probe the reason as to why they create and hide such a big spaceship in the extreme north." Xentia felt a little disappointed and her excitement faded, but she was still intrigued about the reason.
"It was created secretly three thousand years ago because the nine hidden clans, known as the Nine Dragons, predicted the world would be destroyed one day. They tried to ensure their bloodline would survive even the worst-case scenario by escaping to outer space." Elysia shrugged.
"So, do you still want to check it out?" Yuuki rested her cheek on her palm.
"I’m not going. Technology from three thousand years ago means no use for us." Xentia shook her head.
"Mm, we shall accompany you to scan the vast galaxy next week, Xen. Let’s find the trace of the alien species that visited the galaxy we now inhabit." Elysia patted Xentia’s shoulder, offering an attractive trip plan for Xentia’s divine ascension preparation next week.
"Xen will gladly await it, master." Xentia was delighted and smiled with anticipation in her eyes.
"Hi, hi, here! I heard from Vann that you will cause so much chaos and ruckus tomorrow, master. Mind if I join the fun?" Sylvia raised her hand high.
"Sure. Yuuki, do you mind causing some chaos with me before we go to the extreme north? Many hungry demons, monsters, and even ghosts will target me. We need to beat them to tell the world about our might." Elysia put her hand forward.
"With pleasure, master." Yuuki nodded in reply and placed her hand on her master’s palm. She would be fine about any minor change of plans during her exclusive day.
"Then, it’s decided!" Sylvia pumped her fists.
"Do you mind if we join too? We can use our Blue Soul Fox Fleet." Luna raised her white wine jug, offering to join in the fun tomorrow.
"That’s fine, but without the fleet. Eh, wait... I just realized something. We never encountered anyone who ever mentioned the Blue Soul Fox Fleet. This merchant group should be pretty famous, and the leader is a charming fox lady, but we have yet to hear about Luna and other foxkin during our journey." Elena crossed her arms, feeling a little weird at the thought.
"It wouldn’t be strange if no one knew that the Blue Soul Fox Fleet’s Commander was an authentic soul fox. Even if we’re a merchant group, no clients ever meet us, foxkin. Yusagi mostly does the boss’ work under mother’s command, assisted by our soldiers." Lynn leaned her head back, gazing at the stars.
"That’s pretty wild. Those who want to join the fun can join, but we shouldn’t bring our minions. It’s just us, alright?" Sylvia emphasized her request.
"It’s still my exclusive day, so don’t disturb us too much." Yuuki added.
"Alright, snow fox princess. You will be the only one by Ely’s side." Sylvia played along with it as she had to respect her sister.
As the dinner came to an end, the girls took their time before the bed. Elysia noticed Erina still sat under the Sacred Sakura Tree alone, thus she went to sit beside Erina unnoticed.
"Is something bothering you, Eriri?" Elysia nudged Erina’s arm.
Erina jolted in surprise, but she breathed a sigh of relief once she realized it was Elysia. "A-ah, it’s you, Ellie. No, I was just reminiscing about Earth, this sakura tree reminds me of the tree behind my house when I was little."
"It’s nostalgic, is it?" Elysia rubbed the tree trunk. This tree was a gift from He-Dao, the Sacred Sakura was actually the Divine World Tree’s sapling.
"Mm." Erina nodded in agreement.
"Nee, Eriri~ would you like to visit Earth next week? I intend to take a look at Earth’s Heaven. We might be able to pay a visit to Shinou in the 3rd Heaven."
"..." Erina was silent for a moment. She did wish to meet her mother in the past, but the desire had faded long ago.
"Nozomi, that’s the name we know. Gaia said she was part of Tennyo." Elysia recalled about Gaia’s answer last month.
Erina pondered about it for a few seconds and replied with a genuine smile. "Maybe, I still need to pay her a visit. I shall follow all of your arrangements, Ellie."
"Alright then, mm~ Eriri, did you know that some young students got summoned to this planet as heroes?"
"You have yet to talk about it. So, the mentioned heroes who will compete with Sacred Sakura’s core disciples are the summoned heroes, huh..."
"Yep, they are blessed by Gods, and their task is to save the world of humans from the Demon King."
"Oh my, it’s such a cliche plot. I wish to hear more about this. Please elaborate more, Ellie."
"Fufu, you need to wait for tomorrow~"
Elysia giggled and ran away with a flexible movement, avoiding Erina’s catch. They exchanged laughs as they went to the bedroom.
