?Chapter 106: Chapter 100 The Most Evil Existence in the Nine Great Kingdoms_2 Chapter 106: Chapter 100 The Most Evil Existence in the Nine Great Kingdoms_2 Viscount Leiteman felt fear, a sensation he hadn’t experienced since he came of age. This fear was so real that it could bring his frenzied mind back to sanity.

Viscount Leiteman calmed down and said hoarsely to Amberser, “Please, Master Ultraman, contact the Dwarf King as soon as possible.”

Amberser said with a smile, “Don’t worry, I will definitely bring reinforcements to you as soon as I can.”

Viscount Leiteman left the tower quickly with his guards. As long as he didn’t crazily run into open areas, there shouldn’t be any accidents.

Amberser did not continue to loiter in this territory, quietly leaving with the first installment of the “hiring gold,” using Viscount Leiteman’s token.

Amberser hummed a little tune along the way, feeling quite good.

However, not long after leaving Leiteman’s domain, a clamor of battle cries could be heard in the distance.

On the flat wasteland, two armies were fighting.

Though their numbers seemed equal, the battle was completely one-sided.

The army waving the Hell’s Thorns banner was tearing through their opponent’s formation and then starting to devour them.

It was actual devouring. The soldiers of the Thorn Banner appeared to be under some spell, almost immune to pain, completely disregarding their injuries, and would crazily bite and swallow flesh and blood in battle. It was this madness that caused the morale of the other group of scattered mercenaries to collapse, and they were quickly defeated.

Amberser carefully observed and could see serrated light on the soldiers’ heads, resembling crowns that enveloped their skulls. This was probably an improved Crown of Madness spell, controlling humanoid creatures, making them lose their minds and savagely attack a specified target.

Beyond that, the spell seemed to have pain immunity and blood-sucking healing effects. Those injured Thorn Banner soldiers would quickly recover from their wounds after gorging on flesh and blood, leaving only superficial injuries.

The number of this army was close to a hundred; it seemed there was a rather powerful Spellcaster in this Thorn Banner army.

Amberser kept his distance and observed but it seemed that such a bystander had attracted the attention of this crazed army, which, after tearing their original enemies to pieces, had the commander setting his sights on Amberser.

The Hell’s Thorns banner waved, and the frenzied army charged towards Amberser, apparently ready to “incidentally” take him down as well.

After a wild skirmish, these mad soldiers were all covered in fresh blood and torn flesh, looking extraordinarily frightening. Some even used their hands and feet to run like wild beasts.

Amberser looked as if he had been scared stiff, standing motionless.

The Lady Knight commanding the army let out a mad laugh, seemingly very satisfied with this feeling of overpowering the weak.

She was dressed in heavy armor, with black and red iron armor decorated with sharp patterns, as if entwined with thorns, and in her hand was not a traditional Knight’s lance but a long whip that was also covered in spikes.

Such an odd appearance, combined with her insane laughter and this brutal army, was enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.

Amberser remained motionless, seemingly prepared to accept death.

As the blood-red Thorn army was about to engulf him, a figure emerged from the distance, shooting a blue-glowing arrow at Amberser with the utmost speed.

The arrow had a special Magic-Breaking Effect; no shield could block it.

The sound of the bowstring being released was masked by the noise of battle, and the flight path was right at the blind spot of human vision, so the arrow should have successfully penetrated Amberser’s neck, then drained all his magic, and finally ripped his head off with the force of its flight.

And the timing was just right, allowing this troublesome Mage to think to his death that he was decapitated by these beasts in front of him.

This Elf archer had followed Amberser for a good distance and had finally found the right moment to kill this Envoy of the Dwarf King completely.

At least, that’s what the Elf thought when the arrow was first shot.

However, the very moment the arrow left the bowstring, Amberser’s head turned like it had broken, spinning a hundred and eighty degrees to stare intently at himself.

“Found you!”

Amberser smiled as he locked onto the elf archer, and the brilliant blue arrow ultimately could only land on the Golden Throne.

The magic-breaking effect was indeed powerful, just like the pair of daggers before, Amberser’s Mage Shield couldn’t block it, but there was no need for magic, just a physical block was enough.

Half a meter thick of gold, the arrow could only leave a scratch on it before being bounced away.

Amberser was growing increasingly fond of this Legendary Grace; gold truly was the most reassuring thing in the world.

A resplendent golden light flared up as Amberser extended his hand, making a grabbing motion in the air toward the elf shooter, who then felt his body being pulled by a tremendous force, flying towards Amberser.

“Mind Control?! Impossible, I’m so far away from him!”

Mind Control was a high-level transmutation spell that could be simply understood as telekinesis. However, usual Mind Control spells had a range of only about ten meters, while Amberser managed to capture the elf archer from nearly forty meters away.

Legendary powers, warping reality, altering rules.

Pay-to-cast, supercharged, its effect was just that outrageous.

The elf archer couldn’t resist this overpowering force; despite struggling, he was eventually grabbed and brought to Amberser’s side.

But at that moment, the massive Thorn Banner army had also engulfed Amberser.

The bloodied soldiers at the forefront had already pounced on Amberser, wanting to tear apart his flesh.

But Amberser simply snapped his fingers coldly, and a thunderous vibration exploded in front of him, knocking these mad soldiers away.

Thunderous Wave, a simple yet practical spell that could send small objects within several meters in front of the caster flying, usually up to two or three meters.

But Amberser used pay-to-cast again, and the fury of the thunderous wave swept like a tempest, covering the entire army before him, then blasting these people into the sky like landmines exploding ants.

The Thorn Banner soldiers, who were just fiercely slaughtering the enemy troops, crumbled like paper mache in front of Amberser.

Except for the Lady Knight in heavy armor, after being hit by this Thunderous Wave, no one else in that army could stand up again.

Amberser didn’t even glance at these defeated followers; instead, he looked enthusiastically at the elf archer he held in his grasp.

“You must be the leader of this Dusk Guard, and an elf woman at that. Do you know a Dusk Guard named Cicero?”

Amberser’s question caused the elf archer’s face to change, and she exclaimed excitedly, “It’s you! You’re not any envoy of the Dwarf King, you’re that deceitful Lich!”

“What deceitful Lich?! Where did this rumor come from? I always prioritize honesty in business; I never cheat my partners,” Amberser said, quite displeased.

Who was spreading rumors about him? Even accusations of being evil and violent he could take, but he couldn’t bear being called a swindler—that was intolerable.

The elf woman roared, “We’ve already investigated thoroughly—you deceived and then kidnapped a paladin of the Laine Empire, you are the one who ambushed the Alchemist Council, you are the one who caused the great disaster that destroyed Alchemy City! Your crimes are too numerous to count, like a demon from Hell; you are the most evil presence in the Nine Great Kingdoms!

“Kill me, and I will witness your downfall in the Elven Divine Nation!”

Amberser was silent for several seconds before asking, “Did Gustavo Flint run off to the Silvermoon Tribunal?”
