My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 367: Take Good Care of You

Chapter 367: Take Good Care of You

As the mysterious masked expert returned to the hull’s hole, Erina crawled closer despite the tremendous pain that her body was experiencing because of the strong urge to uncover the truth.

She grabbed the mysterious expert’s legs and looked up at those familiar purplish-blue mythical eyes.

Despite her doubt, her eyes locked in recognition. The previous decisive magical moves to kill that great vishap, and then the aura... The mysterious expert before her was probably Elysia in disguise or perhaps Elysia’s brother.

"You, are you Ellie? Or, are you perhaps Ellie’s brother? Please tell me..." Erina tried her best to voice the question in her mind.

"Hm, that’s me. It’s been a while, Erina. I’m back. Do you miss me?" Elysia stroked her face, removing her disguise.

"It’s really you. Ellie, Ellie... I, I!" The tears of joy streamed down Erina’s cheeks as she held Elysia close.

Though years had passed since they had last seen each other, an unspoken understanding transcended words.

The impression Elysia left on her soul would never make her forget her Goddess, friend, and master. She previously considered her Goddess was no more, already fallen in battle against the great evil in the other world.

She chanted her prayers every day, but she could no longer feel or talk to her Goddess anymore. Elysia’s presence was lost from her life forever.

That was what she thought until Elysia appeared before her. She could feel her soul resonate, and it was clearly the same Elysia... her Goddess, the real one!

"Mm, our souls resonated again." Elysia blinked her eyes in surprise.

Erina had so many words to say. However, the sharp pain suddenly spread throughout her body. "Ellie, I- ugh..."

"Alright, don’t talk yet. I need to do something about your injuries." Elysia squatted down, wiping the tears from Erina’s cheeks.

She took out a hospital bed and put Erina on it. After that, she began to strip Erina’s broken golden mecha armour.

"..." Elena and Ai looked at each other before covering the big hole in the wall with a large cloth.

Someone might peek at the non-disguised Elysia performing emergency treatment for Erina. The role of Young Master El was not finished, and it was not yet time for Miss E to be known to the world again.

"I’ll help you." Elena came over and helped Elysia.

Erina suffered major fractures, a badly sprained leg, internal organ damage, and dangerous bruises. Luckily, they were all just physical injuries.

Based on the past records, Erina was never involved in sea battles, but she truly pushed herself on this mission. Not to mention, Erina completely neglected physical cultivation practice.

"This will hurt a bit. Please bear with it." Elysia covered Erina’s body with a white cloth, ready to carry out emergency medical procedures.

"Mm, I’m not afraid of pain." Erina blushed, but she left everything to Elysia.

Elysia glanced at Elena with a tacit understanding. They initiated emergency medical procedures.

The first thing they did was repair Erina’s broken bones, partially heal the life-threatening injuries, and relieve the internal damage.

Erina never let out any noise during the treatment, suppressing her moans and groans flawlessly.

After that, Elysia cleaned Erina’s body with holy water and dried the wet skin with a warm towel before wrapping Erina with many bandages.

When Elysia helped Erina wear a new dress, Ai scratched her head in confusion. "We won’t heal her properly? If that’s the case, she won’t be able to move for at least two days."

"Our power is limited, and instant healing will make them go crazy. Erina, is it right for you? Even though you looked severely injured and would fall disabled for maybe two days, you won’t suffer the pain." Elysia tried to check Erina’s condition once again to ensure Erina wouldn’t suffer.

"It’s okay. I will obey your arrangement. This is the first time I have been seriously injured. Even if you hand me over to the best medical experts, they won’t dare touch me because they are afraid of my golden touch. Ely, don’t leave me. Take me with you..." Erina gripped the hem of Elysia’s sleeve tightly.

<| Lv. 81 | Minamoto Erina | Female (25) |>

<| Loyalty: 91% |>

<| Talent: 4 Stars | SSR |>

Elysia checked Erina’s status screen. Erina’s loyalty rose gradually to 91% in just a few minutes.

"Alright. I will take good care of you. Maybe you also need to retire from the military." Elysia sat on the edge of the bed, holding Erina’s hand. "It’s been five years, is it? Sorry for not being there for you. You’ve been through a lot, Erina. You’ve done your best."

Erina bit her lower lips as a load of emotions from her heart was about to erupt. She endured a lot of hardships and trials, suppressing everything and causing herself to become almost cold-blooded and emotionless.

However, Elysia caused her to be unable to control her emotions anymore. Elysia returned to her. That sentence sounded short, but it brought immeasurable reassurance and comfort.

Erina exerted her inner strength to propel her body and moved her arms to hug Elysia. Only one sentence came out of the thousands of words she wanted to say. "I missed you so much."

After saying that, Erina silently cried in Elysia’s arms.

Elysia replied with a tender smile and stroked Erina’s back, occasionally whispering some words of comfort.

Once Erina calmed down, she exchanged stories and updates on her life with Elysia. Their reunion served as a balm for the wounds of separation, offering solace and emotional healing.

In each other’s presence, Erina found comfort and reassurance, knowing that everything would be fine no matter where life would take her. Gratitude filled her heart as she marvelled at the circumstances that had brought them back together.

Erina looked up at Elysia’s beautiful visage up close. She then glanced to the side. The nearby masked ladies were Elysia’s closest Goddess sisters, for sure.

She asked where Elysia had been all this time, and the answer surprised her. Elysia’s group managed to save Vrelenia, but they almost died. Elysia was also gravely injured and had to be sealed in a divine crystal for years to recover.

As for Earth, this world was also in peril with doomsday threats and various great disasters.

"Ellie, Master Ellie, have you seen the situation in this world? Do you plan to bring peace back to Earth?" Erina asked, but it sounded like a plea.

"Mm, that’s one of our goals. We’ve seen the great change on Earth in the last few days and devised the plans." Elysia nodded in reply and pushed Erina to lie back down.

"The last few days? Have you been on Earth for a few days? Then, why haven’t you seen me?" Erina widened her eyes.

"What can we do? A certain Goddess threw us to Earth’s backroom, and we were trapped for five days. Also... I went to meet you two days ago. However, you were unaware of my arrival. Our soul couldn’t resonate, and then your bodyguards smashed my smartphone." Elysia showed her broken smartphone.

"This, how dare they... I will compensate for it. Everything is my fault. Please forgive me. I will do anything. My faith never fades. It’s just... I thought you had fallen in the otherworld." Erina trembled, stammering to explain the situation. She also felt angry with those bodyguards and herself as she failed to notice Elysia’s arrival.

"It’s okay. It might also have been my fault for trying to meet you in person on the wrong occasion. We’ll continue our conversation later. The battle is over, but those people will be here soon." Elysia sensed several people approaching. She was about to stand up, but Erina refused to let go of her.

"..." Erina just nodded in understanding.

"I will disguise myself as Young Master El, the great merchant and mysterious superhero from the Guardian of Dream. Once this is over, I will appear as Miss E again. Please cooperate with me." Elysia gently pushed Erina to lie down again.

"Okay, I’ll go along with it. I can’t move now, so please carry me." Erina lost strength and lay helpless on the bed.

"Hmm, alright. Ai, please prepare our aircraft. We need to visit the Superclass Mothership for formalities." Elysia put on her facemask again to filter out the mixed smells of mid-ocean warfare. She also gave one to Erina.

"Alright." Ai grabbed Elysia’s divine spear and went outside, landing on the runway before taking out a stealth aircraft.

"Are you going to carry her like a princess? That’s more elegant than carrying a patient on a stretcher, right?" Elena crossed her arms, feeling quite satisfied because Erina’s faith and loyalty rose quite well.

Erina blinked her eyes several times, giving silent approval because it sounded good. She couldn’t get enough of Elysia. After years of loneliness over her golden touch ability, which had become like a curse, she craved touch and warmth from the people closest to her.

"Alright." Elysia carefully carried Erina like a princess.

They went outside and hopped into the stealth aircraft. Ai sat in the front seat as the pilot, and Elena sat in the middle as a co-pilot. Elysia and Erina were in the back as passengers.

When the stealth aircraft was about to take off, dozens of armoured people landed on the half-submerged aircraft carrier.

The big, burly man also suddenly jumped out of the sea, landing on the runway with a loud stomp.

"El! I asked for a good spar, not that dirty move!" Heracles shouted out in annoyance.

"Sorry, Mister Muscle. I need to take my girl for further treatment. Let’s meet again another time. Please pour this medicine on your newly reattached arm wound to speed up your healing process. Consider it as a token of friendship." Elysia threw a vial of medicine and raised her hand in farewell.

The stealth aircraft’s windshield closed and instantly shot upwards, flying towards the Superclass Mothership.

"What? His girl? Is Miss Ninth his girl? Wait, she’s in his arms just fine, despite her golden touch curse? Hey, you incompetent WUF bodyguards. You’re still in shape, but your lady is seriously injured. That’s really ridiculous!" Heracles caught the vial with a frown.

His frustration subsided a little. However, the irritation didn’t disappear. Thus, he vented his anger to the nearby espers, especially Erina’s bodyguards.
