Chapter 396: Friendly Spar
Chapter 396: Friendly Spar
Elysia showed everyone that the USD value was around 250k USD for one El-Coin.
However, there were many ways to obtain El-Coins, such as completing bounty missions, undertaking quests, selling goods or resources, and many more. They would also hold some events periodically with discounted items and much more.
"As for the welcome gift, we will offer you a new member pack and a ticket to stay overnight at Cube Island’s facilities for free. Please claim it before it expires." Elysia managed to control everyone’s impressions.
However, all alliance members were still exploring the Guardian Alliance’s features on their screens.
"I’ve claimed it, and it contains tons of items." Kenji rubbed his chin, feeling satisfied with the free welcome gift.
It was only offered to the members who joined at this opportunity. Therefore, the others joining in the future would receive a different and less benefit than them.
However, it already felt like gambling because Young Master El truly put the agreement like a compulsion.
"The gift shall be delivered to you. That’s all from us. We are currently in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I hope you enjoy your visit to our base. An automaton doll will be assigned to escort and accompany you." Elysia felt that was enough with the preliminary introduction to the Guardian Alliance.
"Wait, after all this, we don’t even know your organization’s true goals. Who is your leader? And why did you gather us for this alliance? This doesn’t make sense if you want to force us to join your network." The chairman of the International Intelligence Agency adjusted his glasses, feeling the Guardian of Dream’s actions this time were too blatant and unreasonable.
"Hmm, yeah... I’m also still wondering what you really want, El. Or the person behind you." Heracles crossed his arms, felt the shop items were too good to be real, and it felt like a scam, especially the welcome gift.
"You may consider whatever you want, but Earth’s situation is not good. Earth could collapse like their world." Elysia replied with a calm smile, pointing her hand to the monster’s side while looking at everyone around her. "We need to unite to bring harmony back and build a fighting force strong enough to protect this world."
"..." Everyone remained silent. They were fully aware that the situation on Earth was too chaotic compared to five years ago.
The underworld’s collapse, the otherworld’s merge, and many other events beyond human common sense occurred.
"Ozebis is a beautiful world but has been destroyed by outer space monsters. The surviving residents are victims and refugees. We need to deal with the problems of internal strife, invasive mutated beasts, demon invasion, and the current monster outbreak. We need to do something to put everything under control." Elysia shook her head with a sigh.
She waved her hand and left the stage, but Heracles suddenly jumped high and blocked her path with a fist.
"Haha! So it’s like that! So, do you want to organize us as heroes to save the world in an organized way? That is if the Guardian of Dreams has the power to subdue all forces worldwide. However, do you have that power, cheeky boy? Spar with me. We’ll talk with our fists." Heracles grinned widely.
He knew the mysterious man before him wasn’t simple, but he didn’t expect El to aim for something so high right at the start.
"Sure. Should we go to the training ground on the fifth floor? We also have several facilities for simulated battles against strong opponents, even apocalypse monsters." Elysia pointed upwards, and it immediately gained everyone’s interest.
Cube Island’s facilities were too good to pass up. The automaton dolls soon entered the hall to guide the guests. Yet, everyone wished to see the friendly battle between the 3rd strongest human and the Guardian of Dream’s representative.
"Should we also watch the brawl? What about the tour? We need to assess their overall might." Ophelia looked at her people. Everyone, including the other overlords, had already left the hall. However, she felt lazy to watch the battle.
"As your wish, my queen." Anna bowed respectfully. She then stated her queen’s desire to the nearby attendant.
"Please follow me." The automaton doll responded respectfully before leading Ophelia’s group on a tour.
"Is she a human puppet or a golem? She really looks like a human but without a soul." Ophelia muttered softly, wondering at her people.
"According to that man, she is an automaton doll. So, a living puppet, my queen." Ted crossed his arms, feeling the Guardian of Dream was too advanced compared to the world’s technology.
"The Guardian of Dream are not from Earth and our world. So, where did they come from?" Ophelia wondered.
"We’re an interstellar organization. For now, our master wishes to help Earth restore its glorious era. A beautiful world." The automaton doll responded without looking back.
"Interstellar..." Ophelia twirled a handful of her long hair while checking the Guardian Alliance’s virtual panel.
There were too many features. It might take a while to explore them all.
However, she immediately exchanged some precious gems stored in her body for El-Coins, assisted by the automaton doll. She purchased several limited items to improve her core group’s combat power.
"Hmm, when can my purchases be delivered?" Ophelia nodded in satisfaction with her purchases, wanting the items to arrive in her hands at that very moment.
"We can deliver it to your address, or you can pick it up on the second floor, Lady Ophelia." The automaton doll checked Ophelia’s purchases with her system.
"Then, we go to the second floor and start the tour from the first floor. Can we see the fighting power of the Guardian of Dream on Cube Island?" Ophelia nodded in understanding.
"You do not have permission to visit our military base, but you can see footage of our combat power and defence equipment through your virtual membership panel." The automaton doll pointed her hand to Ophelia’s virtual screen.
"..." Ophelia tried to look for the mentioned feature. Once she found it, she was shocked to see the force that might be powerful enough to destroy the world.
Not to mention, the Guardian Alliance also provided facilities for reinforcements. Any member could request the Guardian of Dream’s assistance for two thousand El-Coins!
"This is good. I need to build up enough emergency balance for unforeseen circumstances. We won’t be staying overnight. After the tour, can you send us back via teleportation? We need to do many things." Ophelia planned for the future possibility.
She would put her meeting with her savior on hold because she had to precede the other members to secure several limited items in the alliance shop. She also had to accumulate sufficient El-Coins.
"Affirmative." The automaton doll nodded in response.
While Ophelia went on a tour, the other groups went to the primary training ground on the fifth floor to watch the friendly battle between Heracles and El.
"Please wait a moment, Miss E." Lucas dared himself to greet Miss E, the one leading the Guardian of Dream’s group.
He gulped his saliva because everyone around Miss E possessed profound auras and Godly appearances that could make anyone feel inferior. The ladies resembled the Goddesses and angels, while the gentlemen exuded the dashing aura typical of noble knights.
Even so, he still wanted to say hello.
"Oh, hi~ Thank you for joining the Guardian Alliance, Captain Lucas. Is there anything I can help you with?" Miko waved her hand in greeting.
Her mama once met several elite team captains from various countries. But she couldn’t remember her mama having any chemistry with this elite American team captain. Nevertheless, she still maintained a friendly attitude.
"I-" Lucas was about to compliment Miss E’s lovely priestess appearance as he desired to chat with Miss E, but a man dressed in a white naval outfit suddenly passed him to approach the nearby golden-haired Goddess in a feather-patterned dress.
"Is, are you Fortuna? That’s really you, right?" Mike immediately left his group when he noticed the Goddess that once bestowed him power and changed his destiny.
"Hum, why are you looking for me, boy? Also, don’t look at me like an abandoned puppy. You should be happy with your new family." Fortuna raised her palms and took a step back.
"Oh, so this boy is looking for you. Why does it sound like an irresponsible mother who abandoned her children? Is he your illegitimate child?" Elena held Fortuna’s shoulders from behind, curious about what was happening.
That boy’s surname was Fortuna, and Fortuna was still Fortuna. This was clearly not a coincidence.
"Stop it. I also chose a pioneer hero five years ago, and he was my chosen hero when I worked for the palace." Fortuna pursed her lips, feeling a bit annoyed with Elena’s smirk.
"Oh~" Elena let go of Fortuna but still requested clarity.
"Mike boy, what’s the problem?" Fortuna became pretty concerned when her chosen hero suddenly appeared sad. Even though she no longer worked for Heaven, she could at least help her chosen hero if it wasn’t difficult.
"I thought you had... Did you know? Darkness has fallen five years ago... May I know where you have been all this time?" Mike wiped his tears from the corners of his eyes with a sad and relieved smile.
"That bad bat has fallen, huh..." Fortuna sighed sadly, feeling it was such a huge loss. She managed to trick the Goddess of Darkness into working for her, but Darkness died during the cataclysm.
’She is one of the fallen Gods transmigrated to the mortal world.’ Gaia closed her eyes as Fortuna glanced at her.
"I see, but it was inevitable... I’m glad you joined our Guardian Alliance. I no longer work for the palace. You don’t have to follow the system’s tasks. I look forward to your contribution to the alliance to bring back peace to Earth." Fortuna patted her chosen hero on the shoulder.
’You shouldn’t leave your girlfriend just to say hello to me. Look, she’s so jealous. You need to go back to her.’ Fortuna sent telepathy and walked away with her group.
"..." Mike wanted to say many things, but her Goddess had already walked away with the Guardian of Dream’s members.
He finally understood more about the Guardian of Dream, and those Godly warriors were none other than the authentic Gods! Since his Goddess was affiliated with the Guardian of Dream, he would spare no effort to support the Guardian Alliance’s goals unconditionally.
*Boom!*
Heracles launched a deadly punch as an opening, causing a strong vibration and impact.
But, the impact was soon neutralized by the mechanism. Everyone’s attention was immediately drawn to the training ground.
"Impolite. The referee hasn’t even announced the start yet." Elysia stood on Heracles’ shoulder, pointing at the dragon-knight Gio.
"Haha, fists waiting no rules! It’s a friendly clash. Behold my Beast Aura!" Heracles released his aura, causing a powerful blast, blowing away everything around him.
"Is that so?" Elysia spun mid-air and landed smoothly. She hid her hand on her back, taking a defensive stance with a raised palm in front.
