Chapter 397: Exchanging Fists
Chapter 397: Exchanging Fists
In the heart of a futuristic-looking arena, under the watchful gaze of a crowd, two mighty warriors faced off in epic fist clashes.
Standing toe-to-toe, Elysia and Heracles adopted a defensive stance, fists raised in readiness for the coming onslaught.
"You don’t want to counter? Then, I’ll attack. Ha!" With a primal roar, the battle commenced. Heracles launched at his opponent with ferocious intensity.
"Show me what you’ve got." Elysia replied with a faint smile.
She thought to test her physical capability, without spiritual and magical power for this friendly spar. A pure martial arts battle to test what she had learned recently.
*Bam!*
The arena became a whirlwind of motion, the warriors moving with blinding speed and precision as they dodged, weaved, and countered each other’s attacks. Every movement was a testament to their skill and mastery of hand-to-hand combat, as they danced on the razor’s edge between victory and defeat.
Each strike landed with the force of a thunderbolt, sending shockwaves rippling through the arena with bone-jarring impact.
"Ah, it has begun. Well then, we look forward to your contribution to the Guardian Alliance." Miko bid her farewell to Captain Lucas and Mike with a hand wave before pushing Erina’s wheelchair to watch the friendly battle in the arena.
"It’s my pleasure to work with you..." Lucas responded reflexively, but he immediately glared at the captain of the Japanese elite team, questioning why this young man interrupted him.
"..." Mike remained silent, looking at the Goddesses with some thoughts in mind. He then leaped and returned to his group on his girlfriend’s side.
"Who’s he?" Yuna, the princess of Kisaragi Clan, crossed her arms and pursed her lips, feeling very dissatisfied.
"She is my savior, someone I have been searching for in recent years. It was such a relief to find her with the Guardian of Dream. I would not be where I am today without her." Mike shook his head, glancing at the Guardian of Dream’s exclusive seats.
"Is that so... you need to at least tell me first. But, hey... doesn’t that mean we have a connection to the Guardian of Dream’s internal network?" Yuna felt a bit guilty for feeling jealous. But, she then thought the situation had become favorable for her group.
*Rumble!*
Elysia tried to face Heracles’ mighty fist head-on, but her hand was hurt.
’My physical prowess is still inferior to him... Let’s think of other solutions to deal with this. Pure physical power is not my forte, however, it’s not always about strength.’ Elysia used Heracles’ next attack as momentum to take a safe distance.
Even though her body was already at divine-level, her physical endurance couldn’t withstand the harm if she had to receive a direct attack from the 3rd strongest esper on Earth.
Amidst the chaos of battle, Elysia employed cunning tactics and strategic maneuvers to gain the upper hand.
Elysia maneuvered in front of Heracles’ mighty fist, evaded it like a gentle flow, released the impact with her elbow, and made an opening by blocking his next attack.
She launched her fist, but it stopped a few centimeters before Heracles.
Her height and arm length were relatively short compared to her opponent’s giant-looking build. Her fist couldn’t reach her opponent as she held Heracles’ wrist to seal his next attack. She tried to aim at the head and abdomen, but she looked like a child’s attack in front of an adult.
’My height is around 170 centimeters!’ Elysia screamed to herself as she felt smol.
"Hahaha! Show me more! Withstand this, El! Almighty Punch!" Heracles delivered a devastating blow that sent his opponent reeling.
*Boom!*
A gale shockwave split the arena in half, but the surrounding area around Heracles was crushed into a deep crater.
Elysia was blown several tens of meters, staggering backward with a look of shock and disbelief. She thought she could defeat Heracles in his game, but Heracles was actually a transmigrated God of Heaven.
She hadn’t paid much attention to him before, but his aura just now was without a doubt that of a God-tier warrior from Heaven, and he was still holding back!
’Oh, I held back because I thought you were a mortal human, prolly the chosen hero. However, you apparently are a former God, Heracles.’ Elysia sent a direct telepathy.
’You are also a Fallen God? I see... so you are one of my comrades. But, then, I don’t need to hold back either.’ Heracles widened his eyes in shock. However, it soon turned into an excited grin.
"I will defeat you with honor." Elysia put her hands close to each other, activating body-strengthening magic.
"Bring it on!" Heracles leaped like a calamity beast.
The clash of steel and the thunderous impact of blows echoed across the arena. The dust covered the clashes, covering the high-speed clash between two mighty warriors.
As the battle reached its climax, the intensity of the conflict reached a fever pitch, with both warriors pushing themselves to the limits of their physical strength and skill.
In the end, only one warrior emerged victorious from the epic battle. Despite the outcome, both warriors earned respect and admiration from each other.
"Hahaha, and you’re still holding back. This is my loss." Heracles lay flat on the ground, laughing contentedly.
It was the first time he unleashed his full mortal-level potential, but his opponent was still holding back even though they were in a similar situation. In the contest of strength, he might be superior, but the overall outcome was his loss. He couldn’t even land a hit on his opponent...
"It was a good fight, Heracles." Elysia stretched out her hand. She only brought down Heracles once, and he surrendered himself.
"Well, I will support whatever your goals are, El. Hm?" Heracles grabbed El’s hand and stood up. However, he wondered why El smelled like a fragrant holy lady instead.
It was faint as it disguised well, but he didn’t think much of it, considering many peerless beauties in El’s group. They were probably El’s harem, and they left their body fragrance on El’s body.
"Listen, young hero. You need to play less with women or they will squeeze you dry. You’ll die from snu-snu sooner or later. They will never be satisfied. You are strong, but your build is still relatively small and skinny. You need to focus on your muscles more." Heracles patted El on the shoulder, giving concerned advice while glancing at the Guardian of Dream’s peerless ladies.
"Thanks for your advice, but I’ll be fine." Elysia laughed lightly. After giving respect to Heracles, she returned to her group.
Once both warriors left the arena, the formation underneath automatically repaired the damaged ground. The spectacle was like a time rewind, and the arena soon returned to its original state.
At the same time, a representative from other factions respectively approached the Guardian of Dream’s group to leave some impressions, especially to El and Miss E.
Because the Guardian of Dream’s ladies were relatively cold and indifferent, nobody dared to approach the ladies with bad intentions, considering there were several Godly warriors on standby around, especially the imposing earth dragon knight.
"..." Gio crossed his arms, looking at those humans with a sharp gaze to ensure they would behave and not make trouble. He also occasionally checked the SSS-level overlords.
"Please hold your horses, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for all your enthusiasm. We look forward to your participation and contribution. Earth’s future is in your hands, and we need to protect our world. Because you are the chosen member, you will be able to enjoy many benefits from the alliance. Hm? Someone has made her move to secure some limited items in the shop." Elysia tried to control the audience, but her attention was attracted to what Ophelia was doing.
"What? That’s right. Some of the limited items in the shop have been sold out or reduced from the limit."
"Someone took advantage of this friendly battle to secure those items uninterrupted!"
"We shall bid our farewell."
"I don’t think our group can stay overnight on Cube Island, Young Master El. We look forward to our next opportunity."
Some representatives immediately excused themselves because they had to secure some limited items as soon as possible.
The first thing they needed to do was exchange some valuable assets or resources with El-Coins, and they had to return to complete the transaction. They could also do some quests and missions, but their primary objective was to secure the limited items before those items were sold out!
The automaton dolls escorted the guests to pick up their welcome gifts before the guests were teleported back to their original place.
Even so, several groups chose to stay because they were more interested in the Guardian of Dream issue. They ordered their subordinates to complete sales and purchase transactions.
The monster overlords also ordered their assistants to secure the useful items as soon as possible. It was a battle between wealth and speed.
However, the SSS-level monster overlords stayed on the training ground as they were intrigued by the simulated battle arena, a place where they could fight against strong opponents of their choice with minimal risk.
The monster overlords paid their respect to the Goddess Squad, especially to the green-haired Goddesses.
The green-haired Goddess was considered a nightmare among monsters in the lower sphere. The terrifying purge several years ago left behind a deep fear. Yet! There were two green-haired Goddesses and one baby. Therefore, they had to ensure they weren’t seen as a threat by the Goddess Squad, especially those green-haired ladies.
"My apologies, everyone. We have some business to attend to. Therefore, allow us to excuse ourselves." Miko spoke to the surrounding alliance members.
"Please wait a second, Erina-sama. Please pardon us for not having visited you after that incident, but could you please take your time and return to Japan tomorrow? We, I mean the Prime Minister and several important guests are already in Tokyo to meet you." The Japanese Admiral stepped forward, stating his goal respectfully in front of Erina.
"..." Erina looked at Elysia. She knew Elysium would go on a family trip, and many exciting events would await her.
She would abandon anything to join Elysia’s family, and she didn’t care about the Prime Minister. And, she wished to hear Elysia’s opinion.
’Erina, fulfill their request. You will go with your father’s group, and we will secretly take you away for our family trip. Tomorrow morning, your parents will return to Tokyo, and we will take you there. After your business is finished, please fly by plane to Beijing, China. Create the impression that you will recruit some talent. We will pick you up at the airport.’ Elysia gave advice on Erina’s event schedule.
’Ah, alright. I will listen to you, Ellie.’ Erina nodded, understanding that Elysia had planned everything for the best.
She would still join the Elysium’s family trip, but she had to swiftly handle those troublesome affairs tomorrow. Accordingly, she could rejoin their family trip as soon as possible.
"Alright. We’ll return to Japan tomorrow. Mio, take me to my father." Erina nodded in understanding.
"Yes, my lady." Mio replied with a knight bow before pushing her lady’s wheelchair to Kenji’s group of three.
