Chapter 515: Shouldn’t Leave Without Proper Farewell
Chapter 515: Shouldn’t Leave Without Proper Farewell
"Are you leaving soon?" Rosie landed, a little out of breath. She ensured Rosa’s safety, and they rushed back to meet Elysia.
"Yes. We need to leave for the otherworld as it urgently requires our help. Rosie, after your power awakens, keep in touch with your brother, Fran. His power should awaken soon to assist you. As the knights belong to the Temple of Magic, please keep an eye on the elemental guardian knights as well. This is just a side quest to ensure they stay on the right path." Elysia put her hand behind her back, watching the rejoiced elemental guardian knights in the distance.
"Understood." Rosie knelt down. She also pushed Rosa next to her to kneel with her.
After a few moments of silence, Rosie looked up, staring at Elysia’s graceful back. The gentle wind gently caressed Elysia’s long black hair, spreading the fragrance everywhere. "Err, please pardon me. But, may I know about your arrangement regarding the emerged ruins of corruption?"
"The world would not suffer if the Emperors were not so greedy. Lucia will lead all faithful, good believers to prosperity under our protection. The divine revelation shall be passed down in due time to the most faithful, fruitful believers. Do you still remember our goals?" Elysia looked up slightly, acting like a real divine being above all people.
However, she also felt somewhat confused deep in her heart. She couldn’t predict all foreseeable futures due to the many variables involved. The Vrelenians had to protect their world. But, she would still help people through her most reliable followers like Lucia.
"Obey." Rosie looked at the ground, filled with awe and respect. She knew Elysia and the Goddesses already thought ahead of everything. As the subjects of the Goddesses’ rules, the mentioned believers, including her, should follow the arrangements unconditionally.
"Rosa, you have a long journey ahead. Unfortunately, you don’t have any typical proficiency or aptitude." Elysia turned around, feeling confused as to what she had to do to Rosa.
As someone who earned the title of Merchant Queen at a young age, Rosa abandoned many things, including specializing in magic and combat. Also, all of Rosa’s achievements couldn’t be separated from the help of many parties, thanks to Rosa’s chemistry with the saintesses and Elysia.
Broadly speaking, apart from the human relations skills, Rosa was just a business expert, adept at looking for opportunities and anything that could attract profits.
Unfortunately, this invited many enemies who would do almost anything to kidnap or kill this super competitor. Rosa stayed at the Holy Central capital city most of the time because of the Holy Pope’s protection, but Rosa’s life wouldn’t last long without a strong power to keep oneself safe.
If it weren’t for Rosa’s unstable faith, inferior talent outside business, and sometimes faltering mind, Elysia might bestow Rosa with a blessed power. However, she could still leave an investment so Rosa could become the true Merchant Queen with authentic expertise throughout the world to help the greater good cause.
"Huff, ahh... I’m sorry for being incompetent! What are your orders, My Goddess?" Rosa was still panting for breath and drenched in sweat, thanks to the urgency and Rosie’s push to complete the paperwork related to her sincerity towards the Temple of Magic.
"I would appreciate it if you had me in your heart and mind too. I remember your dreams. If I bless you with the power to help you reach the peak, won’t all your achievements be taken away by your partner in the future?" Elysia crouched down and put her finger to Rosa’s chin.
She put aside about Rosa’s faith and sincerity aside because the most important right now would be Rosa’s motivation and determination.
"My Goddess, I have seen the good and bad of the people. Since it was a dream, I want to keep it as that. Please don’t take my previous lack of motivation to heart because it was just loose banter between friends. I also want to live a long life, and I believe that I can judge someone well to prevent such an accident from befalling me." Rosa put her hand to her upper chest with a determined gaze.
"Very well. I expect great things from you as well." Elysia put her finger into Rosa’s right eye, blessing it with the power and wisdom to see through people. The power to distinguish the truth and falsehood, the good and bad.
"My Goddess, this is..." Rosa gasped in surprise as she could see everyone’s aura, not the energy or magical prowess, but the spiritual sense to distinguish the good person and the bad person.
"I shall entrust the power to see through the people’s true self. Get along well with Rosie as you will be working together very often from now on." Elysia patted Rosie and Rosa’s shoulders before standing up.
"Ah..." Rosa covered her eyes as she could see the blinding golden divine light from Elysia. Elysia exuded an aura of absolute truth with no falsehood, the truest sincerity by entrusted this power to her.
"My Goddess, I will not betray your trust and expectations! Please rest assured as I shall help your good cause whether it be financially or manpower. This nation, no, this entire world must submit and obey your absolute sovereignty." Rosa panted with a flushed expression.
"Great motivation, but I have no plan to take over the world. Maintaining the order and balance, ensuring no great evil emerges." Elysia was taken aback by Rosa’s sudden ambition, but she could only try to calm Rosa down with a head.
It was as if Rosa got possessed by a fanatic believer, but this one might be Rosa’s true self. After all, Rosa’s faith history list stated it occasionally went up and down in fruitful and unfruitful, but since a few days ago, it always stayed fruitful. And after Rosa received her blessing, it soared to above 95% and never fluctuated.
Elysia chatted briefly with Rosie and Rosa before vanishing into thin air, leaving with He-Dao’s group.
"Rosa, what was wrong with you just now? I almost thought you got possessed by an evil spirit. Goddess Ely favored us with her blessings, and you weren’t thinking with your greedy merchant mind, right? What if our Goddess gets angry?" Rosie expressed her concern with a complex feeling.
"Hehe, what are you saying, my dear friend Rosie? I’m just incredibly motivated. As the scions of hope, we received the responsibility to protect this world for Goddess Elysia’s sake. Let’s find a way to speed up your power awakening first. You may need to engage in battle or something similar! We have many things to do~" Rosa could feel the power in her right eye, and information about the blessed power flowed into her mind. It was not just limited to distinguishing the good and bad.
With Rosie as her knight and Elysia as her backer, she might achieve the unimaginable achievement that she never thought possible before, and she probably could use Elysia’s name for her good cause as well.
Unfortunately, Elysia knew the things in Rosa’s mind. She returned and smacked Rosa’s head with her fist. "I’ll take a note of you. We never favor the twisted fanatics. Try to misuse or abuse our blessing for evil causes, and you will be dead meat, Rosa."
"Ouch!" Rosa covered her head with tears. It was pretty painful, putting her mind sober. "I’m just expressing my true motive. That doesn’t mean I’m a bad girl. I’m actually good and obedient. Erm, can I also receive the divine revelation if I prove my faith and loyalty to the top of the list, My Goddess?"
"Perhaps. For now, I will only convey my words to Holy Maiden Lucia and several chosen priestesses and saintesses. Don’t disappoint me, Rosa." Elysia waved her hand and vanished into thin air. She wasn’t really offended by Rosa’s crooked intention. It had yet to be spoken, but she couldn’t help but smack Rosa’s head first.
"Tee-hee~ Look, Rosie. I’ve gained more of Elysia’s attention now. She can see through me effectively, why do you think I’m going to offend her? But, yes, there are a lot of things we need to do now. Let’s move and help me out." Rosa urged Rosie to immediately go with her.
"You really..." Rosie held her forehead, feeling a bit dizzy over Rosa’s little scheme.
---
"She is a little vixen. I’ve met many like you." Elysia smiled faintly in the void, watching Rosa and Rosie leave with a sigh of relief.
"You have met so many interesting individuals, my lady." He-Dao couldn’t help but smile as he found it amusing.
"Yeah... I hope this world can prosper without the threat of evil seeds. But, it might bring a good clause as we brought everyone into a world unity. They should put down the disputes and greed to face the common adversary." Elysia looked at the distant horizon with a gentle gaze.
"This happens not only because of the common great threat but because of the absolute presence among them. When the great evil’s seeds are gone, you still need to do something as the allies can turn their back on each other." He-Dao looked at the humans below with an emotionless gaze as if he had witnessed countless miracles and atrocities caused by humans.
"I know." Elysia closed her eyes as she was fully aware of it. That was the reason why she favored only the faithful good believers and made them separate themselves as neutral parties, unaffected by any faction. "We should leave soon."
He-Dao, Yuna, and Amy nodded. They were ready to cross the world, returning to Quadtria.
As Elysia was about to use her spatial warp to teleport to Quadtria, a dimensional turmoil occurred all of a sudden. A powerful yet chaotic hellish aura beyond mortal comprehension approached with unimaginable speed.
"Hold up." He-Dao hovered in front of Elysia, putting her behind him along with his agents as he could sense the evil energy already so close to them.
"After years of missing in action, you returned without any notice, and you want to leave without any word? You really don’t put me in your eyes, huh." A great devil covered in three-colored hellfire and thick otherworldly evil energy emerged.
The former Devil God who abandoned his origin to embrace the evil energy, Xerroth, and also known as the Heretic God by Elysia’s family, greeted Elysia with a grin.
