My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 531: The Abyssal Space Trial

Chapter 531: The Abyssal Space Trial

Elysia morphed into her God Mode Fusion form, combining more than five divinities into one grand unity. Her long midnight-black hair grew a bit longer and became darker than the void of darkness itself, reflecting no light.

Draped in a magical cloak of midnight shadows, she stood at the edge of the abyssal space. Her ethereal purplish-blue eyes glimmered with unfathomable power, but her sclera gradually turned pitch black. With a serene yet commanding presence, she raised her hands, weaving threads of dark energy that crackled with divine intensity.

The divinity with pure holy power transformed into the dark side, the one who held the Outer God’s nameless void and unknown dark authority.

Standing at the center of an intricately inscribed magic circle of darkness, Elysia poured many mythical and God-tier materials.

The shadows around her began to swirl and coalesce. Her voice, melodic and commanding, resonated through the void as she chanted ancient incantations. Each word she spoke reverberated with authority and divine law, bending the very fabric of reality to her will.

The air crackled with energy as the ritual progressed. The shadows grew denser, forming a swirling vortex of dark energy before her. With a final, decisive gesture, she unleashed her final divine authority, pouring it into the vortex. The energy intensified, and the space beneath her feet trembled as the creation ritual reached its climax.

Elysia merged the abyssal gem into her creation. A form began to take shape. First, an outline, then a solid figure, emerging from the darkness like a nightmare made flesh. The creature that stood before her was a testament to the combined divine powers and mastery over the Outer God’s divinity. The 18th Rank Nirvana Abyssal Demon, a figure of pure menace and dark majesty, had been born, but under the absolute domain’s limitation.

The demon’s skin was an inky black, absorbing all light with a shadowy appearance. Its eyes, glowing orbs of crimson, burned with a fierce, malevolent intelligence. Sharp, jagged horns crowned its head, and massive, bat-like wings unfurled from its back, each wingtip glistening with dark energy. Its muscular form exuded power, every movement fluid and deadly, as if the darkness itself had been given life.

"..." Elysia pondered over it, but her creation was far from the Sovereign of Abyss. Upon the demon’s creation, she was reminded of the demon lord from the fairy tales, and her imagination turned into reality.

However, she wasn’t worried because her creation could shapeshift into the Sovereign of Abyss or the most fearsome creature before the challenger.

’Ely, you did it! Can we summon it to fight for our stead in the outside world?’ Elena was pleased. She knew Elysia held absolute authority and law in the absolute domain, and Elysia created a pinnacle of 18th Rank monster on the first try. It was truly a high achievement worth celebrating.

’Yeah, but it can’t leave this realm. Once it goes outside my absolute domain’s rule, it will vanish. Thanks to all those resources, we can manifest this demonic creation...’ Elysia held her chest as she felt the pain of using large-scale resources just for this one.

"Rise, my creation." Elysia intoned her voice a blend of pride and authority. The Nirvana Abyssal Demon knelt before her, acknowledging her supremacy. "You are bound under my rule, the final boss of the abyssal space. The Nirvana Abyssal Demon, Nad."

The demon’s eyes flickered with understanding and loyalty. It stood, towering over Elysia but utterly submissive to her will. With a wave of her hand, the scenery around them shifted and parted, transforming the space into the expanse of foggy terrain of ruins, the replica from the recorded nest where the Sovereign of Abyss and countless abyssal demons resided, the heart region of the Nirvana Realm.

The Nirvana Abyssal Demon was successfully created, and Elysia turned around to tour the abyssal space for a quick check and realm configuration. After that, she returned to the portal, exiting the abyssal space.

A few seconds later after Elysia left, the Nirvana Abyssal Demon, now Nad, transformed into the magic circle of fiery darkness, awaiting the challenger.

*Zap*

Elysia stepped out of the abyssal space’s portal, still in her Outer Demon God’s appearance. The high-rank Gods and Immortals near the portal went aghast as a formidable foe, more intimidating than the late Heavenly Demon Emperor, suddenly came out of the abyssal space. Some of them even took a defensive measure, ready to face the possible threat.

"Lower your weapons." He-Dao was previously alert, but he beckoned everyone not to make any rash offensive move because he was aware that Elysia ruled over this realm. So, no mishaps or unexpected things like intruders could escape from her watch and rule.

"You can’t recognize me? I see, this is that formidable, huh..." Elysia revoked her God Mode Fusion, returning to her original appearance. She honestly also felt a bit surprised because even her people, including her Goddess sisters, failed to recognize her at first.

"Wow~ What was that, master?" Rhea flew closer in the blink of an eye, feeling amazed and curious.

"We switched to the dark side to create the Abyssal Nirvana Demon. Am I that scary?" Elysia replied with a faint smile.

"Switch side..." He-Dao was completely speechless. Almost everyone also felt that way as they had never expected the Supreme Goddess could be as holy as the light of hope, and as demonic as the darkness of despair.

They thought about it, and the Supreme Goddess was truly something they could never afford to offend. Nobody dared to disrespect Elysia, but they became even more afraid to offend her because of this fact. She could go into the villain arc and become the Supreme Demoness if they weren’t careful!

"No, master. We were just shocked and amazed. You are as beautiful and amazing as ever." Rhea smiled like a lovely girl, and she received Elysia’s head pat as a result.

"Alright, the abyssal space is open for anyone ready to challenge the advanced trial. The Nirvana Abyssal Demon’s replica has four levels of difficulty. We set several rules for this deadly trial." Elysia clapped her hands for attention and sent a virtual notification screen to everyone, conveying the rules in the abyssal space.

Each challenger could go as a team without participant limits. Once they chose to surrender, the challenge would be considered failed, but it granted the challengers a safe retreat to exit through the portal. The Nirvana Abyssal Demon wouldn’t chase after them.

As for the rest, it was just a regular additional rule that was easy to follow for everyone’s convenience. However, the last condition was something that Elysia placed to force.

"We shouldn’t destroy the barrier on the realm’s boundary whatever the circumstances. What does that mean and what are the risks?" Amy scratched her head.

"You were one of the volunteers involved in empowering the abyssal space last week, Amy. Do you remember? You are free to defeat your opponent, and go all-out if you want, but don’t break the boundary. That will ruin the abyssal space and eliminate the purpose of the trial. This is a simulated realm for a good sake. If the space is broken, you must compensate in full or we can’t reconstruct it." Elysia emphasized the last condition because it was the most crucial one.

She had to harvest the dispersing energy from the battle and the abyssal space had to remain intact so the Nirvana Abyssal Demon could work properly as the 18th Rank, the fake Sovereign of Abyss.

Because it involved more than two hundred high-rank Gods and Immortals, her true absolute domain could still be broken by them, let alone this unstable space within the simulated realm.

Thankfully, everyone understood the importance of the last condition. It was reasonable to keep the space’s boundary untouched to maintain the space. It would be an ungodly battle against the super-powerful opponent. Even though the battleground might be vast, it was still a limited, constrained space. Those who ruined the space had to pay the price for reconstruction.

After everyone responded positively, those with golden tickets gathered around the abyssal space’s portal. The students who had yet to possess one could only watch from a distance, delaying their training hall space’s rerun to watch the high-rank seniors try to challenge the abyssal space.

"Do you want to be the first one to challenge it?" The Shadow Monarch offered the honor to the Lord of Heaven.

"..." He-Dao remained silent, but he stepped forward and entered the dark portal ahead.

Everything was dark, resembling a void. However, the scenery soon changed into the realm of ruins. Everywhere was filled with the fog of corruption, and most importantly, it took place in the same fallen region where Elysia encountered the Sovereign of Abyss in the previous investigation!

The Nirvana Palace could be seen in the distance, covered by a thick cursed mist. He-Dao widened his eyes in shock. It was as if he got his PTSD, recalling Lady Nirvana’s sacrifice.

A notification screen popped out before He-Dao’s vision, bringing him out of his traumatic trance. Four difficulty levels appeared as options for him to choose. And, a big black magic circle appeared on the ground, one kilometer from the portal.

"Is this even an option?" He-Dao covered his face to hide his devious grin. It was as if he had waited for eternity only for this moment.

He chose extreme difficulty, and he didn’t even need to consider it. Regardless of anything, he had to test his utmost limits with the worthiest opponent prepared by the Supreme Goddess of Mysterious Origin.
